Last week I stumbled across a article in the news in my country about Negative SEO.

I love how they act like this is a new trend, it has been going on for many years in the Casino and Sports Betting niches probably since 2000 so they are 14 years late on this story.

Now the most interesting part about this article is the guys company who claims he was hit, I looked at their link profile it looks like self inflicted penalty because they use age old tactics like generic footer links and other crap which is just idiotic.

Like generic anchor break down in the profile is - webmarketingexperts(DOT)com.au

20% - seo
10% - SEO company

And so on with limited branded links all from client sites.

So yeah have a read for a laugh

From the article

It's believed that Expedia may have been hit by a negative SEO campaign that hammered the travel website's rankings on Google searches

Why people write about things they don;t have a clue? I mean, it was proven that it wasn;t neg SEO and they still talk as if it was. Something smells like PR job here

Defiantly not a PR job, that's almost a useless metric now. (I'm joking... settle down)

lol I wish there was a comment section on that post.

LOL, pr = press release. page rank is still the best matric out there.
