What are your thoughts on it? I've had it downloaded on my Mac for a few months now, but haven't really gotten around to using it yet.

It's a pretty tough place to play.

Yeah, I can play poker. I was just wondering if it was worth my time for recreational purposes.

I don't like to play poker for play money, it's just not the same.
I've played on FTP and it's one of the biggest poker rooms on the net with a lot of pros.

I have been playing on FTP since it started .. I can remember when there was only 300 or so of us on there . The games where rock solid then and a good tight aggressive style would take you a long way .

Now with 90k people on there at any one time it is no where near the same place, while it is still tighter play than poker stars for example it has gotten to be a minefield riddled with collusion, and maniacs with more cash then brains like all poker sites .

Stick to a tight aggressive style and to the tournaments as it it harder for the colluders "hmmm is colluders a word? " to gang up on ya unlike a ring game.

as far as playing with the pros and such.. that also has changed there was a time when you could get one at your table or one would answer some chat .. but those days are gone also .

Most of the big name pros only play for huge stakes, and with people they know and then they are all on the phone with each other cuz there scared to death of the cheaters also..

and after all that it is still the only site I play on
