Sorry for this thread as I know you are all (including me) are sick of this damn thread coming up.

...but yep, just got the unnatural links to my main money site. I read http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/white-hat-seo/565065-unnatural-inbound-links.html which said to deoptimize. As I JUST got the message, I have not lost any rankings yet.

I do not plan to submit a reconsideration request because not a single damn link built to this domain is white hat really. To de optimize should I just run GSA straight to my money site with strict filters with naked URLS? I really have zero idea wtf to do.

If you haven't invested too much into the site I would probably just grab the content and start with a new domain.

No sense throwing good money after bad.

Sounds about right, maybe up to two weeks...

if you are doing affiliate marketing, just start over, not worth the effort to stop the inevitable...if you have started a branded company with a "real" business, then you can try and correct it...i use "real" in quotes b/c i don't want to offend anyone here...please no one get the wrong idea, i'm not trying to insult the affiliate business...

Ya, my branded site has not been hit, just my top earning affiliate site. Would it be bad to start a new domain in the same niche on the same hosting account?

Also, if I started another site and went with a more broad affiliate category, if I did SEO to individual pages and got hit again, would just the page get hit, or the entire domain?

Not sure, but I would get a different account just to be careful...

Also, you don't have your branded site on the same hosting account as the affiliate site do you? If so, you might want to not do that in the future...

lol at the advice of building unnatural links to remove an unnatural link warning.

thats not how it works and im willing to bet those giving the advice havent received and/or recovered from an unnatural link warning.

basically if you dont give a shit about the domain ditch it. if its bringing money and will in the future you will need to clean up the links by removing them and go through the reconsideration process. no other way around it.

Some sites of our that have gotten the warning, we are just using GSA, and Xrumer to hammer the hell out of the sites with naked urls and there coming back rather quickly. By rather quickly Im saying around 3 weeks.

I wanted to add to this post and state, that when were doing this, were only hammering sites that are pr3 and higher, anything lower at least in our findings was turning out to be worthless.

You can try and have them removed by contacting webmasters and ask that they remove them or contact those service providers and ask them to remove all the links.

Or you can use a service like linkdelete.com

Mate what I did was have linkdelete work on remove links, provide the reports to google that they give me, and disavow those links that cannt get removed. After a few months I remove the penalty. You can pm me with specific questions if youw ant i can help you out.

Another question then. Lets say I contacted some of the private networks I am on.. and had them change the url to another domain? Would that help the new domain?
