Can someone tell me what the best way to go about using an FTP proxy for something like Filezilla? Also, is there a tool that installs easily and is similar to Hide My IP that works to hide ip for FTP?

You would need to get a SOCKS 4 or 5 proxy and configure FireZilla to use it. You don't need any additional software. FireZilla already supports the use of proxies.
