Over the last few weeks I've noticed that my cigarettes, Marlboro Lights, have been acting funny. They keep going out while I'm holding them in my hand or sit them in an ashtray. The cherry keeps out running the paper and I have to either prime it back up giving it a few hard puffs or relight it entirely. This of course makes them taste like complete shit. I was thinking it was just me because I've been cutting wayyyy back and thought maybe I just wasn't as puffing as much anyone. I randomly brought it up to the gas station worker tonight and she told me it's this new FSC paper that they are required to use. So, I came home a Googled it thinking maybe the woman was just bat-shit crazy, but sure enough, it's true. Plus, it even turns out that this has been the norm for most states for years now. I didn't even new this kind of paper existed. Now all my cigarettes get to taste like ashtrays, but I guess it does give me more reason to cut back even more.
Thinking of quitting? Great! I have an awesome deal on electric cigarettes that might actually be beneficial to you..just go here and sign up....lol JK Thanks for the info. Ill look into it..
Already got one (one of the 9 somethings from puresmoker). The flavor was great but it makes my teeth taste like aluminum foil. It would work. I read a blog about it when I was researching and people are complaining about chest-tightness and coughing more.
i don't like it either. for the last couple of months i though all my cigarettes were stale or something and then found out about the paper. thinking of trying e-cigs.
What is really messed up if the dam US Gov are forcing these stupids requirements but when sales drop the US Gov will be shit out of luck from the tax's they won't be getting in from normal cig sales - its stupid
MY theory is, we all sit here thinking about how much money they are going to lose if we all give up smoking through taxes, in the mean time they sneakily put taxes up on other things, and by the time we realize what they have done it will be to late to say anything, trust me when it comes to the government they always have a back up plan. Just my 2p worth Godmonkee
I thought it was "salt Peter" that kept ciggies alight. Roll up ciggies always go out if you forget them, they are not wasted or as much of a fire hazard as the stay lit ones. As for the tast I don't know
