Seeking Secure Alternatives: Buying & Selling Domains, Startups & Apps (Budget-Friendly)

I'm hoping to tap into the collective wisdom of this community. I'm on the lookout for safe and reliable marketplaces to buy and sell various digital assets, with a focus on low-budget projects or startup.

This includes:
  • Domain Names
  • Startup Businesses
  • E-commerce Stores (Shopify, Amazon FBA)
  • Mobile Apps
  • Established Blogs
  • Social Media Accounts (large followings)
  • Newsletters (engaged subscriber base)
  • Other online businesses or digital assets
Ideally, the platform would offer the following features for both buyers and sellers:
  • Browsing: Ability to search listings by category, revenue, and other relevant criteria.
  • Due Diligence: Access to financial data and website traffic information for informed decisions.
  • Financing: Connections with third-party brokers and financing options for buyers.
  • Selling: Listing digital assets for sale.
  • Valuation: Tools or resources for sellers to get a free valuation.
  • Speed: Options for a quicker sales process, potentially including auctions.
The Challenge:
Unfortunately, my experience with Flippa hasn't been ideal. They seem to suspend or terminate users without clear explanations or appeal processes. This raises concerns about platform security and professionalism, especially with no way to reach them due to blocked emails.

The Ask:
I'd greatly appreciate any recommendations for alternative marketplaces that meet these criteria, particularly those catering to budget-friendly digital asset deals.

Thanks in advance for your insights!

I bought a business on Flippa and had a good experience. The exchange and escrow tool was a bit clunky but I had 7 days to verify everything I received before my funds were released.
Talk to the seller and ask for details and financial statements

Their reliability is questionable as they may suspend accounts without notice and cease communication. I am currently exploring alternative options.

Bump, currently on the verge of selling my main website, I have issues with Flipa not showing all 12 months of profit, website is flagged 2 months old when it's 10 years old...

I agree with the escrow comment, you need to really use escrow. My first purchase 7 years ago was all fine but then my non escrow one was not ideal and i lost money as a result. Live and learn, they're there to flog a profit, nothing else.
