Hi everyone, it's been almost a year since I last published a post at this wonderful forum. It's time to come back and give back and hopefuly inspire some of the new guys here. This journey is all about my new business idea which I've been working at for more than a year now. My goal is to go from ZERO to $50,000 a year in passive income selling books. Truth is I am not a newbie and I am pretty successful at what I do. Currently I work as a fulltime marketer making very nice and comfortable living. Being able to work from anywhere and travel the world is one of my greatest accomplishments I'm really proud of. However, the reason behind this journey is pretty simple. I still trade my time for money. And that's something I've been doing for all the past years and I just don't want to do it anymore. I want to create a product which will make money on its own. In this case books. Why books? Because books are a great way to make passive income. You write them once, then go on selling forever as long as there's enough potential customers out there. And first and foremost... I love writing. It's my life dream and when you do something you love everything's just much easier. What I've Already Done Picked a niche. Built a website. Created a Facebook and Instagram page. Started writing. I've been promoting my content for 7 months already and acquired pretty decent following. Current Numbers Facebook - 26 830 fans Instagram - 2 103 followers Email list - 586 subscribers Earnings Haven't started monetizing it yet. Now I am about to release my first book. What You Can Expect from This Journey I'll explain what, how and why I do what I do in order to achieve my goal. Along the way I might talk about the methods and techniques I've learned in the last years. Although I still haven't released the book and made any money, the following and other numbers are pretty cool. I believe in my vision and hopefuly will reach the end goal as soon as possible. It will take some time, though. I am not sure how often I'll update this journey but I'll try at least once a week. Next post in this journey will explain how I've gathered almost 30 000 niche-relevant and targeted followers and how you can do it too. I'll also tell you why I did NOT monetize it sooner on purpose. Background Story I've been a member of BHW for almost 7 years now and I have to say that it absolutely changed my life. I was a school student back then in 2012 with no skills and no experience. Thanks to BHW I learned SEO and internet marketing and made some serious money which made me able to quit college. That was when my journey really started. I've met hundreds of very interesting and successful people. Travelled the world. Founded my own company. Made a lot of money and then I fuc*ed up everything and lost a lot of money and confidence because I was young and idiot. Then I became successful again although it was not easy. I won't go to fully tell the story as you can read it in my old thread from 2018 here. The Message of this Journey There's a tremendous amount of things I've learned in the last 7 years. One of the most important is this - you can achieve whatever the **** you want. Does not matter if you live in US, Europe, Africa or Antarctica. As long as you have the INTERNET and willingness to put in the work and time and you're ready to learn from mistakes... you've already won. If you're just starting out, you might feel overhelmed and confused because there's a lot of methods and threads out there. You might feel even a little bit lost because you don't know what is the first thing you should do. I know that because many years ago I was in the very same position I want to say that it's okay. You will try things. You will fail several times. You might even fail many times. If you're ready to fail again and again, you'll eventually become successful. Trust me. And I will try as much as I can to share with you some valuable knowledge so you don't have to find it on your own. I just love BHW and its community and you all gave me so much. I want to give back and therefore I will share also my biggest mistakes and fails because they're sometimes even more important than the successes. It's easy to succeed. What's difficult, is to come back once you fail. Have a great day you all!
