    Good Morning,

I recently purchased a service on here for some backlinks. Immediately after the links were indexed my site went from page 1 to page 500+ for it's brand keyword. This is what made me think i was in the sandbox. It appeared that they were punishing my homepage, because it was nowhere to be found anywhere. I was a sad panda :(

I didn't know what to do, but after seeing no ranking changes at all for 3 weeks i decided to get rid of those links! It was the only possible answer.

Well, i woke up this morning to my site doing better then ever. It's on Page 1 for stuff it wasn't before, and on page 3 for very competitive keywords.

The moral of the story is, wait, even when you don't see a silver lining there is one. The sandbox and the dance are the same thing. It's just you go from one to the other.

Also, the links were not deindexed so it couldn't have been the cause.

What kind of links was it?
Many Profile links or Blog comments pointing all directly to your site?

Furthermore, how old was your domain? Pagerank? Count of Backlinks before?

This would help to see what's the reason behind what happened to you ;)

Well, it was forum links from a very trusted BHW member who was very sympathetic towards my case, and a great person to work with.

It's just the only thing that made sense to me.

The site was fairly new, i launched it in May. There were only around 10 backlinks.

Eek..a bit more research shows that the links i purchased were deindexed from my profile according to Big G...so i guess that was the reason. I will not expose the person i bought these from, but i'll just say be careful, manual reviews are happening now.

Google. How did you go about removing profile links? If what you say is true it's time to blast my competitors

I did a link: search and all of the one's that were indexed are no longer indexed to me. It was instantaneous too, because the company completed the removal of the links last night. You very well could do this to your competitors. PM me and i'll give you the name of the person to contact.

I bought the biggest package he had, which was 700 or so.

Ah that was probably the problem. 10 backlinks, no activity and suddenly A HUGE SURGE OF HIGH PROFILE BACKLINKS

That probably raised a big red flag and made the big G sandbox you.

Yeah, well there were supposed to be trickled in 15 at a time. But you're probably right. I purchased another service on here for blackhole. So we'll see if that brings better results. I am now ranking better then i was before the Box.

What baffles me is that how you get ranked higher even after the high PR links are removed. The only explanation I can think of is that maybe your domain has aged a bit more but that doesn't seem too logical. Have you made any changes at all? Add new unique content, build extra backlinks etc?

No man, seriously. The moment that the links were no longer linking to my site, i came back to over 20 new rankings i'd not seen before. I honestly can't explain it...rewarded for good behavior?

I contacted the person i bought them from and he removed them.

My next step was going to be using a 301 to the www of my site, but luckily i didn't have to do that. I have legit links that i didn't want to lose.
