I’ll try to make this brief and not turn it into a book. I have spent endless hours over the past week reading the forums here recently before posting this, and believe, its very difficult for me to even push the submit button.

Started designing websites in 1996 when I was a kid (Dragon Ball Z and Final Fantasy sites), worked for Network Solutions after college, in 2008 got into Clickbank affiliate marketing (took the idea from a kid that worked for my friend and quit because he claimed he was making 10k/month online…no one believed him, until I talked to him and he really was). It’s a funny story how I got this kid’s secret strategy, he wouldn’t just give it to me, it took an entire night of partying and a cleaver ploy on my end. I wish I could find him again, last I heard he was knee-deep in a really bad coke habit. I guess I’m not particularly good at coming up with new, revolutionary ideas on my own, but am very good at taking an idea, improving upon it and running with it.

I took this kid’s idea and made it better. It was so simple, used usfreeads.com and some high page rank free article directory sites that ranked well in Google for keywords that had lower competition but high searches. If anyone really wants details I’ll elaborate, but I’ll tell you it was movie download related and kind of a grey area in legality at the time I guess. I did it all with Clickbank. I used social bookmarking sites like Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit etc…to get backlinks, but this was years ago. Later on I used content locking affiliates, making a visitor take a survey before accessing a site, and made a few grand from that, but didn't last.

I started making 10k-20k a month in mid 2008, only spending about $100/month, only lasted about 6 months before Google banned it and a bunch of people from the Philippines found this method and spammed the hell out of it. What did I do with all the money? Well, I was young, arrogant and thought I had hit the jackpot and would always be able to sit in front of a computer and make tons of money any time I wanted…it didn’t end up that way.

My passion was always online marketing and web design. I worked for an non-web related company from 2010 to 2015, my entire dept got laid off and replaced with overseas H-1B visa workers, and moved out to a rural area where I grew up (middle of nowhere in the woods, dirt road, but very peaceful, beautiful and no crime). I love it out here, but there are no jobs for someone like me. I can’t even get a job at Dollar General because why would they hire a Tech Support Manager as a cashier? I know, I’m in a ridiculous situation, some unfortunate events happened within the past year but it’s really not relevant and I know everyone’s got a sob story.

Maybe I’m not up on the current affiliate marketing methods, but I know what I’m doing and by no means a newbie at this.

I’m looking for someone that would maybe like to take me as an apprentice, or just wants to help because they already make ridiculous amounts of money online and feel like taking a chance, and help me get up to speed and started on a CPA or affiliate program that I can pour hours of work into and make some measure of money in this modern SEO environment. I’ll pay a percentage of profits if someone wants to enter into that kind of relationship, I know I’m just some guy on the internet, but I keep my word.

Yes, I’ve read the sticky guides and searched other strategies on this forum. A lot of them I’ve found are many years old though, and the basic ones I know the concepts but lack a targeted subject area, a reliable affiliate program to sign up with who will accept me with no traffic yet, or specific strategy to implement with basically no budget (so PPC is out of the question for me now).

I’m seriously not the typical sap who posts “I don’t know what to do, how do I make money, etc…”, even though I kind of sound like that I guess, but I actually possess skills and knowledge related to affiliate marketing and did make significant money at one point. I only need to make like $700/month right now anyways just to survive, which is around $20/day.

I’ve applied to some CPA networks, but they don’t seem to want to approve me since I don’t have a live website yet, but I can’t make design a website if I don’t know what they are marketing.

I’ve been writing articles for a Pakistani guy on Freelancer for $2/500 words. It’s ironic because his clients are from the USA (where I am) and outsource work to him, and now it’s getting outsourced back to me at an even cheaper rate. So I’m stuck in a circle of outsourcing. But his work has dried up and I keep getting screwed by other people on Freelancer. Plus I’m pouring my entire day into these articles and making like 10 bucks. I'd rather write articles for my own website and drive traffic to it, if only I had a viable topic and reliable CPA, survey or affiliate program to implement.

What I cannot do right now:

    - PPC, or pretty much anything that involves more than $20…I know, pathetic.

    - I am not proficient in Facebook or Twitter marketing, but can learn. I despise Mark Zuckerberg.

What I can do right now:

    - I’m very good at writing articles (English is my native language and I took English writing as a major for a time in college), formatting them and making them SEO friendly. Also very skilled at writing compelling and sales articles or ads.

    - I have a domain and hosting package, I have Frontpage, Dreamweaver and Photoshop and can create my own custom content and images, I have Wordpress installed and a variety of plugins ready to go. I’ve used Wordpress extensively in the past.

    - I know how to submit to article sites and social bookmarking sites. I never did much with Facebook or Twitter because I didn’t really use them much personally, and I mostly marketed through getting ranked in Google by using usfreeads.com and high page rank article directory sites that let you submit for free.

    - I can listen, understand and communicate (via Skype, email or however) with any expert already in the affiliate marketing field and not sound like a complete idiot, although these days I’m not up to speed on modern techniques.

    - I don’t mind the blackhat stuff, I’ve done it before. I don’t have any reliable free proxy accounts to use right now though. I stayed away from some profitable Adult referral strategies that I read on here because I heard a law came out against using random girl’s pictures for marketing like that. Many of you probably know the strategy I’m speaking of.

Thanks for reading if you’ve made it this far, I know this forum get inundated with these types of posts and I feel stupid for it, but have to take a chance as my life is bombarded with failure at the moment.

I doubt anyone will take a complete stranger as an apprentice. For article writing, you could start on iwriter.com and as your rep grows so will your rate. Also if you are very good, would get private clients. Then can reinvest some of that money on building a website and creating your own content in a specific niche and/or product. You are a member since 2012 so have had all the time to read read read and learn...better late (do it now) than never.

For affiliate, you can try Clickbank and Software Projects and Avangate, that will take you without a website. All that info is here already and suggests you need to spend more time reading and learning. No one will spoonfeed you but will help to answer any questions you have on the forum (after doing a bit of reading on your own).

I probably need you in some days for my company.. I can't tell you much about it. I can tell you: It's Dutch based (At first) (Because I live here), It's abbout free games and game accesoires and people can earn these. It's kinda a new idea, it's not with surveys/other bullshit, it's not fake for the users and I want to register it as a real company. As I said, I can't tell you much about it here. Could you add me on Skype? I could plan a free night to explain everything. Probably won't take longer then 2 to 3 hours :p

over qualification can be a negative thing i know, what i would do is try to contact someone you know(in online marketing) and beg for an opportunity to work for them if the situation reaches dire straits.

True, I have been a member here since 2012, but got involved in a demanding real-world job and always wanted to get back into affiliate marketing, but had a family at the time and it consumed my resources. After losing my job last year though, I have nothing but time.

Ironically enough, I signed up for iWriter recently, although I don't have the $147 to spend to get an immediate elite account, so I'm waiting for low-end offers to come through at this very moment. I wrote a great article for someone on there, but they rejected it due to spelling/grammar errors, but I proofread the text several times and I swear there weren't any mistakes.

I will check out Software Projects and Avangate, I have not heard of them.

If you know of any CPA sites that offer a content locker option, that's one strategy I've read on these forums that I like, please let me know. I applied for ad-center.com, but it doesn't look like they will accept me.

You aren't the first person to spunk all their money up the wall. Time to rebuild, read then take action.
If you don't have any funds to get started then it might be worthwhile to take that cashier's job at Dollar General.

I would check online to see if your article was rejected but still used by the requester...i have seen this happen. If so, you can email the support and get your ratings fixed and the member banned.

I dont do CPA + content locking but i believe Peerfly will accept you without a website.

The problem is, they wouldn't even take me at Dollar General as I already applied and they hired someone else, haha. I mean, my resume is all technical/managerial positions. I've literally been trying for months to get some low-level crap position in my area, but like I said it's a rural area and my only living arrangement at the time. I even applied for a part-time position at a local newspaper just doing layout/design. Nope, they hired someone with more experience in that field. Guess web design, SEO and sales management just wasn't up their alley.

If you have $20 then you can buy a domain and hosting, start a site offering SEO and web design services. Then contact every local business that hasn't got a website or needs a redesign.
Use fiverr/SEOClerks for any services you don't have the skills/tools for.

Starting from $0 is tough, but you'll need to learn sales psychology to start selling. A simply Google Search for the following pdf will help you on your way to success. Mind Control Marketing and The Missing Chapter, How to win friends and influence people, Cashvertising, Think Like A Marketing Genius, The Art of Human Hacking. I'd also suggest watching Lie To Me if you are going to be making business dals on your own, you'll learn when to tell when someone is lying to you or not. Finally, I suggest looking around your local area and seeing if there are any rich people or businesses. Here in America I did some door to door marketing to get one of my side businesses started. I sold people in my area what I knew they wanted but didn't have money for. 3 Businesses loved my "cheaper" computer and user database setup I did for them. For the houses I actually offered them dirt cheap yard work and home fixes. I required them to be present there with me for any work I did and if I needed money I'd ask for it upfront or to go to the store and buy the resources for me. In another country this might not work for home repairs and such. Think creatively like if you can generate leads to quality farm products to local businesses that make food and want to go fresh. If not also think about trying to help college kids or kids find good jobs etc. You could go to the offset but local job leads market or something.

Those ideas are naturally gold makers, you can see that one of them fits monster.com etc. These ideas are not original but because they are profitable in most economies it comes down to reach, connection, and execution.

Hope your job hunt goes well.
