No need to talk too much. Started with 0.03, Now I am at 0.0463 BTC.
Leverage trading giving you the option to 10X your total capital. How ever, the more you leverage = The more you put your money in risk.
Max Leverage is X100. I Usually leverage by 5-10X

Warning: I would not suggest to anyone who have no experience with trading start doing what I do. you can lose a shitload of money. Basically, the people who make money on this market is the people that able to recognize when ppl that have no Idea how to trade will sell their positions. then they buy them in cheap - and sell it again to same people who sold it to them for cheap just with a better price.

    Started Balance: 0.0337 BTC
    Current Balance: 0.0463 ($500)
USD Profit: $135 (Can change anytime due to BTC Volatility)
    BTC Profit: 0.0126

    Goal 1: 0.05 BTC
    Goal 2: 0.07 BTC
    Goal 3: 0.09 BTC

Usually, I never look at the $ Profit . Whats important is with how much BTC you start, and how much BTC you left. However, because of this journey, I also mention the $USD value so people will be able to understand

Shorting is a really fast way to make a ton of money, or lose it all in a few clicks. To short, you need a margin account at an exchange that offers margin accounts.

For US peeps, the only exchange which offers margin accounts for US traders is Kraken.

Coinbase used to have margin but got rid of it due to regulations. Poloniex also used to have it, but also no longer allow US customers.

The most popular world-wide exchanges that offer margin are Binance, Bitifinex, and Bitmex. Again though, NOT for US based customers. And again, because of SEC regulations won't allow it.

I'm in market about 2 years and now I tried margin trading for a few days.I think trading on altcoins are very risky.and BTC is good for margin.

    Good luck, mate!
I am in crypto space for almost 2-3 years and have been trading a lot, with leverage and without.
Be very very careful with bitmex as you can see 10% drops can happen in few minutes. If your leverage 10x and you don't use stops, you will be liquidated pretty fast. I have lost tons of money in bitmex because of greed, greed is our worst enemy. Now I am trading with max 5x leverage, 2x is the best for me. To new people, I suggest to trade without any leverage, just buy and sell. later you can start with 1.5x or 2x leverage, but remember greed can f**k you up badly.

Let's see... I am playing around until I figure out indicators that I will be able to work with for larger amounts than these ones. One of my crazy friends saw this and asked me to trade for him, I told him; bro, it's too early. I don't know what's going on here yet :)

@Adam718 No worries mate... I calculated the risks already. No greed over here :)

It's a good start. With trading in general, you should always start really small. With margin trading that is leveraged, you should really really really small. Well done.

I feel that the thread will stop when you lose it all. What is your strategy ? What is your money management ?

Well there is a lot of videos on the net and Youtube, but it's easy :

Trade x% of your bankroll at every trade. What does this mean ?
If you open a position with a defined Stop Loss (SL) and a Take Profit (TP) you can calculate how much in this trade you can afford to lose.

Your money management is going to be the "x%" you use per trade. If you lose your trade you just lose 3% of all of your money. If you win, depending on your strategy, you earn 5% per trade. The secret will be to stay consistent so your bankroll increase after a bunch of trades.

I personally used 10% when I was with a little amount of money, and when earning more, I am now down to 2-4% per trade, depending on how confident I feel about the trade I will take.

If you don't have money management, even if you know how to trade, you could end up losing all of your money because of a bad luck (or bad analysis) streak. And you'll have no money left to come back !

So keep it down, around 5-10% if it's money you can afford to lose. 1-2% on the other scenario.

An advice from me: Even once you know what you're doing, don't trade for your friend. Friends and money don't go well together a lot of times. Better teach him trading, show him what you learned. He can profit from it in the long run. If you want, you could even take a small "fee" from him. Still better than getting in an argument about money one day ;)

Do you set SL, TP or just close positions manually?
