So due to medical reasons I have pretty much decided I HAVE to make success in IM and SEO. My plan is to get extremely good at SEO and then maybe go back to college for other interests as a back up.

Anyway to my point, I have been looking pretty heavily into SEO the past 1-2 weeks and I really understand more or less the mechanics to rank any site now. The problem is I simply do not have enough money to invest for outsourcing, tools, and networks, etc. I also need to start small here and work my way up.

I want to gradually earn the LEAST amount of cash the EASIEST and FASTEST ways possible, and then gradually climb the ladder to ranking bigger keywords on bigger sites for bigger commissions/cheques/money/etc.

Due to medical reasons I can't work atm, so I live with my parents. I have about $1000 cash. Ideally I need to make more cash per month than it costs to maintain my host, new regged domains, 10$ proxy, etc.

Basically I have a lot of knowledge but there are so many "doors" in my mind I don't know which one to walk through. Theres Local Seo, niche sites, Micro niche sites, amazon sites, adsense sites, clickbank sites, etc, etc.

I have been at SEO/IM since this Christmas, I have made so far 1 amazon review site, 1 adsense/affiliate site, 1 article hiring service site, and about 7 clickbank micro niche sites.

    • The amazon site was my first and a failure, I did no SEO and just let it die. I get 700 visitors a month but the reviews are re-writes of amazon descriptions and dont convert at all, 120 clicks to amazon per month and 1 conversion since christmas that was a fluke.

    • Article hiring service was a fail cold emailing SEO services with no response I got bored and let it die.

    • Current Adsense/affiliate site: I am doing boring manual SEO just to see if I can rank it to first page. However, I dont see it making a lot of sales simply because of the niche itself. Geared at a younger demographic with no credit cards, competing agains e-commerce sites in the SERPs. I also dont see adsense converting that well for this site either, I stuck it on there yesterday I guess we will see. Not getting hopes up.

    • Clickbank Sites: Of my 8 clickbank sites about 3 of them made me money. I've made about 300$ in the 2 months from them, that all happened to occur more or less in a 3 week period, and then STALE out. HOWEVER, there is nearly no consistency with these sites. I was seeing 15$ a day, then the sites bombed in the SERPs, then returned and have not earned a dime in 2 weeks. Even though they are in the same places they once were. The only reason I made that 300$ is because I am an expert in the field of the clickbank product I was promoting. Therefore it was easy for me to write an excellent review. These sites also have little long term sustainability and could drop off the SERPs tomorrow

So to my point, I am hoping a more experienced SEO/IM person can give me some advice. Which type of site/which direction should I go from here to simply start earning small and build my way up and up?

Until I can consistently earn $500> per month I will not be able to afford site auditing tools (moz, a hrefs, etc), backlinking tools, proxies, etc, that will push my SEO skillz to the next level.

Based on my track record any advice on which way I should go? Its not a matter of "How To" anymore, its a matter of "What To" and "Best To"

    Thanks

im not an expert by any means but im in somewhat the same situation as you. from my experiences you have to invest in some type of tool. manual link building is honestly like picking cotton all day. Spend 12 hours placing links and they still need to be indexed and on top of that not all of them will stick.

I would suggest learning scrapebox. Its (i think) the cheapest seo tool (57 with bhw discount) and its extremely powerful if used properly. I recently purchased it and im starting to try and rank for low competition keywords.

I think you should focus on Clickbank first then go with other plans. Best of luck with this journey.

Sounds like you have a good start so far. Most importantly you're taking action not just reading and begging to be spoon fed like some others do. One thing you should understand is that some of the best SEO methods out there can be achieved with very little investment and returns of large gains. For instance tools like scrapebox are worth 100X more than what you pay for them once you take the time to figure out how to use them. Best of luck on your journey!

You need cash to get going. These days anything that is able to pull in money costs $$$ when it comes to SEO.

Start an article writing service and raise capital. It should be pretty easy to hit $500/mo if you're willing to write articles, especially for a low price.

And to those that will say "No he doesn't need any money to start", well true, but if he wants to fast track himself he'll be smart to initially raise some money to buy what he needs rather than bootstrapping from the get-go.

I don't mean to be disparaging, but 'pretty much deciding' you need to be successful isn't going to cut it.
Making a decision is the same as making an incision - it's to cut off, separate, and leave behind all other possibilities.

Get yourself a copy of Tony Robbins 'Unleash the power within' - I think it will help you a lot at this point in your journey :)
