This case study is mainly to encourage those who might be thinking of giving up. After trying to do a store for months and failing, I hired someone to do them for me, non the less she succeeded. Understanding what I was doing wrong was the problem. But I kept at it until about 17 days ago when I broke the code.

having someone do something for you and it succeeds, doesn't make you feel so nice, getting something done yourself and it succeed, that feeling is unbeatable. I have been very successful online with FB ads, I consult with some major companies in Africa and even manage their ads, I have had great success with Affiliate marketing with Clickbank,Amazon Niche sites, but drop-shipping wasn't just working. But it has finally worked.

This is my newest store, but as many of you might notice, I am totally blown away by the results.
The store has gotten 60% of the sales from social, 30% from organic search(Even though I did not do any SEO on it...which even shocks me the most) and the rest from referrals.

I have run a maximum of $250 in ads only, and done a lot more of manual organic sharing and the like. I am planning on scaling the ads to say $200 a day.
Lessons learned, until your pixel is properly seasoned, organic traffic converts a lot better than FB. we were getting a 4.9% conversion before starting on FB traffic, and that number reduced to 1.8%

2-Follow the simple steps. a) Have the right mindset(Spend more time on products and marketing, than you spend on anything else; Don't give in, keep trying until you succeed)
b) Create a store and brand it
c)Pick a market/Niche and get at least 10 products day to it. If you do this consistently for a month, that will be 300 products! am sure a lot has already been said about product picking and selection, unless you need my own criteria, I will leave it at that,
d)Market Market Market Market....do everything, if you dont have money for facebook ads, you will pay with your time. Here is what my schedule looked like
-Youtube (Unlisted Method) for product review
-Twitter + IFTT
-FB Groups
-Email
-PPC
-SEO
-FB Ads and IG Shoutouts
-IFTT + Addmefast
-Pinterest

Hope this encourages you to not give up. I am doing this from Uganda, with all limitations available. So if I can, then you can!

how did you source your product. am currently on that journey with shopify/oberlo/aliexpress/fcb ads/instagram shoutouts. Am still not selling yet.

Yeah, thats very true..I think because some seasoned marketers put things together and get results quick(Which is good, but tells half the story) many people are tempted to think thats they way it goes every time.
But this thing, just like every entrepreneurs journey, has a lot of work involved.But mostly consistency is key..

I have so far used only Nicholas Kusmichs course, but a very good one is the FB Ad IQ, I got an email yesterday, they are promoting it for 70% off i.e about $299, you can get that as well...those are the only 2 I recommend that I have used, you can pm me if you need specific help.

how did you do the product reviews videos, did you actually have the product?
Nope, all the videos actually are just videos I got online or product demos, from either product vendors or viraly shared videos. I created none, just reused

How much of that is actual profit?
Please don't be shocked, I am making off about 50-60% off each product, yeah, I know thats quite high...but again all my products are over $50 and the top 7 selling ones are over $70 each, so it sort of makes sense, coz am selling each at 50-60% buying price. so fo far, the store has made $12,300 as of the time of writing this, and the actual profit is $7,200. From about 95 customers.
I am having a lot of repeat customers, thanks to remarketing on FB and Klaviyo

How to find a goog product and right people for my store?
This is a little broad of a question, because a lot of things depend on the market you enter. (Niche Store OR General store) if you have a niched store, its more then that already gives you a headstart.

Facebook recently brought back the affinity score, so you will want to start from audience insights, (Head to google and find top blogs, top personalities, top magazines and top facebook pages in that niche) and start using audience insights to give you a picture of the right audience. Run ads...
And here is how I do mine.

I start right away with Conversion Ads and optimize for clicks
Then from clicks I optimize for Add to Cart
Then from Add to Cart I optimize for Checkout
Then from checkout I optimize for purchases...as my pixel gets seasoned.

At the same time, I would also be doing alot of retargeting through messenger apps and email campaigns.
