Fresh to Death: a Journey to $100K

Introduction

It's easy to fall into a routine, to become satisfied with what you have and become lazy. We're all playing the game of life and most of us are on auto-pilot. I refuse to be set to cruise control! F**k that, I feel like grabbing life by the balls and making it play the game how I want it to be played. A few months ago (6+) I suffered a severe blow to the head, resulting in a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and you know what, life has sucked. I gained 30 pounds, I can't remember shit, and I can't play contact sports, the one thing that has been keeping me sane all these years. I am a competitive guy, I like to win that's why right now at the age of 19 I'm going to start my journey to $100K. No one in my family makes this kind of money, I guess I've got to lead by example. I don't care how long it takes I will try to update this thread as much as possible. For each of my jobs/projects I will use a different code name to stay organized. For some reason, I also decided to go all out with the tables if you don't like it then too bad, I'm sticking with it. My skills are all over the place and I will be using quite a few different methods to accomplish my boards not to mention my offline jobs will also contribute to my journeys stats.

Alright let the journey begin....

Codename: Work Horse

When I got home from college it was May 13th, I sat around for a few days and visited my neurologist to figure out what was wrong with my head. Believe it or not, I actually didn't know that I had a concussion. Recently my memory has been off and I have been having some crazy aggressiveness when I confronted with authority. So I got back home and I thought to myself, theres no way I can just sit around until my summer job starts on June 23rd, I'd much rather work and make some money.

That same day I called up an elderly family friend that I play pool with to let them know I was back in town and ready to kick there ass in a quick game whenever they were up for it. He told me that he was working on his boat getting ready to launch it and that I should go over to his house; this was yesterday. I pulled up to his house and walked up to the boat he was working on, and we talked for a while. Next thing I know he asks me if I would be up to do some yard work for him and general work around the property, obviously I accepted then and there and started immediately. For the next five hours I raked his lawn, my hands blisters up and I was gassed. I was astonished when I noticed that I had only finished about half the lawn, I promised a friend I would workout with him so I was done for the day.

Today I returned, at first a was sore but once I got in my groove I was a raking machine. Rake all the leaves into a pile, fill up a huge trash barrel full of leaves, haul it off into the woods, dump it an repeat. All in all I must have dumped 30+ barrel-fulls of leaves. After I raked his lawn I decided to clean up his huge ass driveway; his place is in the middle on the woods, so you can imagine how many leaves can accumulate. Today I spend another five hours working before it started to rain. I got about 70% complete with the driveway.

I was happy because today he asked me how much I wanted to get paid, I am enjoying the work and he is an old family friend so I said $18/hour and he said "nonsense, nothing less than $20" so I agreed on $20. right then and there he pulled out a brand new $100 bill and paid me for yesterdays work. He is a pretty good guy, yesterday he grilled up venison burgers for us and today he gave me a bucketful of littleneck clams.

Tomorrow, if it doesn't rain I will go back an try to finish some of the stuff on my to-do list:

To-Do List:
[X] Rake the Entire Lawn
[70%] Finish the Driveway
[] Mowing the Entire Lawn
[] Launching his Boat
[] Cleaning Up the Garden
[] Putting Up a Fence for the Garden
[] Replacing a Deck
[] Cleaning up the Guest House Property
[] Cleaning out the Flower Beds
[] Organizing the Garage
more may be added...

Earnings: (Rate $20/hour)
Hours Worked: 10
5/21: +$100
5/22: +$100
Total Earned: $200
Total Received: $100

The money made from this side job will go towards future IM start-ups and also towards the completion of my short term goals.

Good Luck on your journey. I hope to get some good knowledge from this thread and also I hope this inspires me

Thanks guys! Rockstar, it's so easy to get inspired on this forum. There is some much success going on all around us, check out VoidRay's journey, it didn't inspire me to make websites but if he can make $1000/day then I sure as help know I can. I have some plans up my sleeve. At the moment "Codename: Blast Off" is the only IM related project on the list, however two more will be added shortly.

I just woke up and I am feeling sore as hell, it didn't rain like it was supposed to so I am headed back today to finish up the driveway, clean up the flower beds, and clean up the garden. I am trying to get 5 hours in so I have another $100 day.

Today ay should also be the start of code name blast off so stay tuned...

Summary of the Day

Woke up sore but got a lot of work done. Now I just need to hit the gym and get things moving on Codename: Blast Off!

About Codename: Blast Off

In the "Projects/Jobs" box I mention Codename: Blast Off so I think it's a good time to talk a little bit about it since I will be posting updates to it very very soon. I recently became great friends with a member of this forum who is a Jr. VIP, his user ID is Lietuvis022. We are a lot alike and we have the same dreams and passions; something valuable in a friendship. We decided that together we would be much more successful and we would be able to feed off each others ideas. I don't know what to call what we have but I consider it a long term partnership. We have plans for >5 upcoming projects and we are going to keep working at them until we are making decent passive income.

Codename: Blast Off is one of those projects. Together we will be be using FB Ads to profit not only on our personal accounts, but on the accounts of a few different people that have decided to JV with us. We have been trying to start it all week; however, the coder is taking forever to get the cloaker done so it looks like we are starting tonight or tomorrow morning. Once everything is set and we are ready to start; we have one campaign that we know will make us 100-300% ROI daily, THAT'S HUGE! Not to mention we will be making this off quite a few accounts. I won't go into detail about our niche or our ads but I will update about earnings, expenses, work done, and how things are going.

Codename: Work Horse

Like I posted earlier I woke up this morning sore as hell from yesterdays long day of work. I was hoping on it raining today like the weather channel said it would but it didn't. When I got to the guys house, I got started on the drive way right away. Looks were deceiving, yesterday I thought I was 70% don't but it was more like 40%. I started to move barrels of leave and dirt like they day before but i found it extremely taking as the barrels started to weight 200+ because of all the dirt in them. After some snooping in the garage I found my self a nice big wheelbarrow. After this find my productivity shot through the roof, all in all yesterday and today I moved enough dirt and leaves to make a pile the size of TWO (2) Chevy Tahoes. Not only did I clean the driveway but I also cleared about a yard deep of straight woods around the whole perimeter of the driveway, hence where all the leaves and dirt came from. I am glad I did because even though it took a little longer the driveway looks amazing.

After physically taxing myself with all the heavy lifting, moving, and dumping; I decided that my next task on the To-Do list should be something fairly easy that I would finish fast and that would give me time to recover. I chose to clean up the flower beds. I only did it for about 45 minutes before I was sone for the day but I am about 80% done with it.

I worked 5 hours today and successfully made another $100. I told him he could wait until the end of tomorrow and pay me the $300 we will owe me. On a side note, I found 5 ticks on me today but managed to get them off fast so lets hope I continue to feel good all weekend.

Side Job: Miracle Maker

Our new neighbor who is like 80-90 years old is having guests over tonight and the people who were supposed to come clean it for her bailed. She saw me this morning and asked if I would be willing to help out and my mom too. I said sure. When I walked in my jaw dropped, thats how bad it was... catastrophic. Anyways I dubbed this "Miracle Maker" because we took her apartment from trash to something out of a pottery barn catalogue in about 4 hours. We finished right before her guests arrived. She payed me $115 today and she promised my mom $100 by Tuesday.

Good luck on your journey. I like that you are including all of your side jobs as well. That should give you enough of a start up to start earning on the internet.
