I just read that Freelancer.com has launched a domain/website sales site to compete with Flippa And GoDaddy.

Listings are free but they charge 5% commission on the sale

    www.freemarket.com

It'll be interesting to see how they do.

They will clean up. Its amazing how Flippa have had a near monopoly when everybody moans about them. They have only had to deal with small time competitors that get no traffic and eventually give up.

Freelancer have the pockets and enough market share to ride this out until they get established.

    I agree.

Free listings and a 5% commission is very competitive too.

Provided they deliver a quality service I think they will kick Flippa's arse.

The site works very nicely. Looks better then Flippa to me. This should also force Flippa to up their game.

how i wish they would moderate and make everything here clean and kick out the scammers.. But since it's free listing, i have have my doubts.. People tend to misuse free things

Loving the fact that someone who can afford it actually takes on Flippa in the selling websites/domains category, because I do not enjoy the monopoly situation Flippa has been enjoying (Their fees are not considered 'fair' IMO). Nice to see where this goes.

The fact that they cut it in half will be enough to immediately start stealing substantial amounts of traffic. Selling a site for $1,000 and paying a $50 finder's fee seems reasonable. 10%, though... $100 just for running the marketplace? Seems too exorbitant, especially when you factor in the escrow fee on top of that.

seems good but still premature hopefully will get that much advanced that it needs to be :)

One bad thing i noticed it auto get you logged if you have Freelancer account instead to create it's need to have separate signup better.

And other some features still missing let's see how it goes ;)

Getting Flippa down is not easy task will take them some years probably.

Scammers could easily sell fake revenue sites for free on that site. Might become worse than Flippa.

Freelancer definitely has the resources & coins to outdo flippa, This will be interesting!

Seems the blackhat stuff already started on freemarket. People are putting up fake revenue (like 500M) to get more views to their listings .. so that when buyers sort sites by revenue, they see those first.
