upwork is the largest one i think. if you are startup in upwork, you need to do cheap offer to make your account solid.

But in general, fiverr and upwork will definitely give you whatever you want concerning Web development.

That depends a bit on what kind of freelancing you do (writing, design, dev, marketing, etc.) and what your priorities are (low fees, ease of getting clients, quality of work, niche market). But yes there are alternatives to Upwork and Fiverr. Here are some I recommend + tips to choose

If you’ve already tried upwork & fiverr, i wold definitely recommend sticking with upwork a bit more, it attract clients looking for longer term, higher value projects compared to fiverr.

Try Guru.com or PeoplePerHour. For better quality leads, consider direct outreach to local businesses or leveraging LinkedIn to find niche clients.

In my experience:
  • For minor or small bug fixes, Freelancer.com is a good platform to find skilled developers from Asian countries.
  • For ongoing or long-term projects, it’s better to hire a few recruiters on LinkedIn and let them handle the hiring process for skilled developers.
They can conduct interviews, technical assignments, and background checks to ensure quality candidates.
From my recent experience, I selected a few talented developers out of nearly 500 applicants.

With something this simple just use AI.

Upwork is pretty good and also the fiverr. The difference is with upwork you need to search for those customers by submitting proposal that can get tiring and frustrating after some time. How did you guys do it? I saw some people automate this process

Closing this thread for preventing more spam.

If you have a requirement, please use the hire a freelancer section, and you are ultimately your own judge. Software development is not easy. How you define your requirements matters. ;)
