    Hey guys!

I found this guy through getafreelancer.com, and I'm selling him an ebook I'm writing for 3$ per page + 2$ loyalty bonus per copy in the long run.
I've registred a domain for the ebook, and I've made a salespage.

    Now, my question is

    a) Am I charging enough for a high quality ebook (I'm a Journalism student so my writing is excellent)

    b) Should I ask more loyalty? How can I make sure he pays?

    c) How much should I charge for the domain (it's a .info, the .com was already registred by someone else), and for the landing page?

    d) How can I avoid getting scammed? I'm planning of sending him watermarked copies until he pays. Good idea?

    Thanks,

    Seb

    A. Really depends upon the topic as to how much you get paid.

I'm not sure what you mean by "loyalty". Do you mean royalty? You used the word twice otherwise I would have thought it was a typo.

    B. You should have a "buy back" so if he doesn't promote it or when he gets tired of promoting it then you can buy it back and resell or repurpose it.
As far as making sure that he pays for it. That's a bit more tricky. Once it's available you lose your control. Better to charge ahead of time unless it's someone you've worked with before or you're doing a joint-venture with.

Example, when I do a joint-venture I first get a little up front just to make sure that the person is serious. From that point, I allow them to collect all the monies and then pay me out of gross profits. I always have a system in place to ensure that I get paid this way neither of us is tempted to cheat the other.

In your case, the only thing I can think of, off the top of my head, is for you to deliver the ebook in exe form which requires a code to open it up. You control the number of codes. This will help you to track how many ebooks are being sold. Every twenty or so you have in your agreement that they pay before you'll issue out the next twenty.

You can also keep the copyright and license your ebook to them and allow them to use their name as the author. This way if they don't pay you still own the copyright and you can sell the ebook yourself cashing in on their promotion of the ebook and stopping them from selling any more copies under copyright laws.

(I'm not an attorney, you'll have to discuss legal issue with them)

    c. If it's a info it's not worth anything. Better to find a DotCom that is close to what you want. Instead of "MoneyMakingMachine.info" you might choose "TheMoneyMakingMachine.com". The landing page depends upon the product/service and quality. As far as the domain name keep it under your name it will help you maintain control over the ebook.

    d. You can send a watermark copy in PDF format. That's what I usually do. Make sure that you have your copyright listed and a note that clearly states that this is a preview copy which is not valid until purchased. Also place a lock on the PDF file. They may be able to break it but if this goes to court you can show you took steps to protect your property.

    Hope this helps...
