    Hi Guys,

I just had a freehostia account and used namecheap for the domain. Yes I did use freehostia's dns set at namecheap and installed wordpress in it.

But the problem is, whenever I try to access the site (hxxp.mysite.com), what comes out is freehostia's page with lots of advertisements. I can somehow access my site but thru accessing hxxp.mysite.com/wordpress. Is this normal with freehostia????

(I got no hosting yet, can't afford yet..)

    Any help or ideas guys???

    :)

I seriously doubt it has anything to do with namecheap, I have a lot domains through them and have never had a problem.

With most free hosting you pretty much get what you pay for. It is not really something you can build a business on and have it do well.

As long as you are not targeting adult or phrama pm me your domain and I will set you up with some hosting.

Hosting just as low as $6/year at WSO, why you can't afford it.

    Don't touch the REP!

Did you change the root default index page?

    That is probably your problem.

You need to change it as they typically have the hosts ads on it, etc.

    Enjoy ..... :cool2:
