(2) Plain text files- each are parsed out of all xx,xxx expiring dot com domains which drop July 11 and July 12.

1. Search locally based on word length, your niche, key adjectives, nouns, etc.
2. Use tools like Archive dot org to determine use age, use history, backlink checkers, fail list checker, etc.
3. Place order to purchase from your favorite registrars grabbing service.
4. There usually are overlooked names you can buy for registration fee, once expired.

Having an independent listing like this ON YOUR COMPUTER not on a public site, protects your searching.
This allows your own privacy of what you are looking for unlike using free expiring list services that post these lists and log all their users searching activities, much like Gxxgle does with search.

If you find this useful, please let me know and I might decide to post more.

This thread wasn't deleted, and attempted to post an new thread today for the next (4) days of plain text files, and it was deleted- no moderator name given. Message was stated should be in "Members Downloads" + "Virustotal .com" (Why should I trust virus total?, and for them not to take my parsed data themselves? Never heard of it. That was the stated reason.

If files are plain text, I have never been aware that they could ever contain a virus. Appreciate an explanation.

Sorry @Overdosing thanks for your interest. I am stuck for now. I don't know how to deal with the rules here on uploads yet, the above are plain text- the ones I saw uploaded on member downloads by other people were PDF's which could in fact contain viruses as can other formats. I can't provide these off forum as that is against rules. I am not creating an account to go about uploading to the virus dot whatever website which I don't trust or know anything about their tracking, logging, etc. it's a plain text file (silly) that I invested software to create. No response yet on how to handle this.

Hey @Enserio,

Your best bet is to open a support ticket at https://support.blackhatworld.com/support/home

Also, just to quell your fears - virustotal.com is a global standard in virus checking for download files. It is used by BHW and a lot of others as a standard for unverified files. Barring this, every files would have to be approved by the moderator manually. It checks for a variation of files for malicious elements, including text files. And is a mandatory requirement on the forum.

It checks the file against 57 anti-virus engines including Avast, Avira and Malwarebytes and provides a report.

Also, it doesn't require you to create an account. All you do is visit virustotal.com - upload your text file - it'll take you to a page with a unique URL - just copy and paste it here.

As for other members sharing files, it is most likely that the moderators missed it. If you see a post without a virustotal link, simply click the Report button.

@BlogPro Thanks. Are you aware VirusTotal.com is a Google property? it makes sense for url and software security, but for these curated lists of expired domains that I create myself would be vaguely like uploading source code that you don't want to share with the entire world, let alone all the other issues- AI, scraped, IP linked, geo located, permanently stored, etc.

Are people selling written manuals, PDF's or ebooks in the marketplace here uploading their proprietary properties for sale to virustotal? I would assume they are not, since in this case they are one-off and manually reviewed, but not sure. This is a website that collects and vacuums up your data into the Google AI.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help.

I think you're being a little excessively paranoid.

For one, you're sharing this list in a public forum. It got crawled by Google and other search engines minutes after you posted this. So a minute before that, uploading and scanning against a global virus scanner shouldn't make a difference.

Second, there is nothing proprietary - you're scraping a list of publicly available information. Yes, how you filter it is proprietary, but in the grand scheme of things makes no difference.

Finally, Google is an ICANN accredited registrar itself - which means they probably already have access to this information and don't require you to upload a list to one of their subsidiary websites to be able to have their AI update it.

Unfortunately, Virus total is a requirement and a rule on this forum. And has been since forever. All public downloads have to conform to it, 100% of the time.

Thanks for your response, I can't disagree I am well aware of Google is a registrar, and would never use them.

I am still interested to know an answer to this I asked earlier:

"Are people selling written manuals, PDF's or ebooks in the marketplace here uploading their proprietary properties for sale to virustotal ?" (Need to be scanned BEFORE being listed) OR are they only required to be manually reviewed at BHW?

Thanks in advance for your answer and for your time!

Your question is very specific to the rules and beyond my capabilities to answer on my own as a regular member.

I am going to tag the staff members - @BassTrackerBoats and @Echo - as they'd definitely be in a better position to answer this for you.

Ok, much appreciated. Thanks for the help.

Alright, this looks like a simple case of miscommunication.

I'd recommend you open a support ticket to clarify any other doubts.

IMO, the message you received consisted of two parts - I believe the moderator wanted you to be post this in Members download section and since it was a generic message, the virus total thing just tagged on.

The members download section is dedicated for all downloads - https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/member-downloads.29/ - and works like a "Resource" section for this forum.

This category serves more as a discussion forum.

Since the rules clearly state, there's no VT requirement for txt files, you can go ahead and post there and there shouldn't be any more problems.
