The most popular "websitemakers" people use for the free website idea, put some sort of advertising on the website, unless you upgrade or host with them. How do you guys bypass this?
In an older(but probably one of the most inspiring ones) thread the OP talks about a script of some sort, but it appears nobody seems to have that.

    To avoid any confusion:

When setting up a free wix website, and you do not upgrade to premium, there will be a box top right of the screen saying: Get a free wix website. Now when making the website for a business, I would like to have that invisible or removed.

Hmm thanks, does this remove the advertising off the site, or make it invisible for all visitors?

Don't really understand what you mean dude.

Is it you are bothered about adverts popping up on your site about free web design?

Adverts in other pages about that?

Bypass what? Get a free site without buying host???

if you don't want adverts on your site, just fish out $40 / year for a domain name and hosting.. that $0.11 / day.. surely not difficult to offset that cost

Alright, let me clarify haha. When setting up a free wix website, and you do not upgrade to premium, there will be a box top right of the screen saying: Get a free wix website. Now when making the website for a business, I would like to have that invisible or removed.

I am not 100% sure if this is possible, yet because the OP in the linked thread mentioned a script to hide this, I figured others might know a way how to do this. Hope this makes it more clear.

Excuse my French, but Wix sucks fucking balls.

If you are anyhow wanting to have a biz site, refrain from using them.

    Agreed, don't use Wix.

Just pay up if you don't want it to appear.

I think a more applicable question is why any reputable business or designer would be using Wix. Hosting is cheap as well.

Well fair question. But the reason why I asked about wix, is because that was used in the thread I read originally. Given the amount of pm's and responses here I got, it became very clear that wix is not the way to go haha

The OP of the thread you're referencing says to PM him if you need the script.

Thanks for your input, but it appears you have not noticed that the OP has been banned.. And to add to that, he tried to sell the script..

I can remove the ads from WIX sites, and you can host it wherever you like.
10 bucks donation is all it takes.

I have used WIX lots, they rank well, look good if you know something about design and are
    quick to make.
