A lot of my subscribers will ask questions and whenever there's one that comes up often I usually either make a blog post, send out a newsletter or make a video addressing the question. Free Traffic VS Paid Traffic is definitely one of them and for me I like both and use both but I love free traffic. There are of course Pros and Cons to both and it's up to each individual to decide which route they want to take. I personally think you should play to your strong suit by going for whichever one you seem to be better at. So if your great at blogging and natural seo then free organic traffic might be the way to focus your attention and just keep building that blog.

Now if you have a really hard time coming up with good content and ranking then maybe you should focus on paid traffic and master that strategy. Mastering that would just take time in figuring out the best traffic sources, creating and tweaking the landing pages to find the ones that work best and just deciding your monthly budget. I hear many people say that, "I like free traffic but it takes to long to get enough of that traffic to become profitable" or "I just paying for quick traffic but I can't find good sources that convert into profitability"

My advice would be to master both. Start out with whichever strategy your best at and then slowly build upon the other. Think of it this way... Free Traffic is for the long term and Paid Traffic is for the short term.

Now which traffic strategy do you think is the best and why?

I mostly like free traffic because it's a long term strategy and you can make even more and spend less. But I think the best way to do is to invest because paid traffic is a good source of revenue too...
So just like you said, Mastering both of them is the best thing a marketer can do.

Great post btw.

Assuming the quality of both are equal, why would you even consider paying for it
if you can get it free

Thanks. Yes, I wouldn't make nearly as much as I do now if I didn't use both. Paid traffic is great for it's purpose and if you set your business up right it's worth it even if you lose your initial investment. Of course when your paid traffic generates a nice profit you can always crank it up but you should always be growing the organic traffic which may be slow at first but that trickle can eventually turn into a river

It's funny how there are marketers that always say just what you've said and the other side that says free traffic is so slow so why would I bother with it when I can start a campaign today and have 10,000 eyeballs on it by tomorrow and make huge profits right away. This is exactly why I made this post because my subscribers are always talking about both points whenever I talk about one or the other. Paid and free traffic are both very powerful and I believe have there place in most marketing strategies.

Fee has to be because of viral, quality, they just had to brag or share with others about how much of a good deal they bought into. Paid is for nonbelievers, people who might know of your product or service or not. Depending on buyer awareness and behavior patterns, you are looking more into being able to control how traffic converts on paid, versus free. then again, companies like EA hound Reddit users on games and such and these users are blind to EA's tactics (look it up).

IMO it depends on which niche you are in, for some offers I believe free traffic would be the better option whereas paid traffic would be an equally good option in other cases.

Paid traffic is gold for quick profit and free for longterm (ofcourse u can also use paid for longterm)

For me it's usually just paid traffic that is used to jump start things or give them a boost. Other times it's because the paid traffic works out so well and converts.

Yeah that's true. Not all campaigns work well with both.

I would say if done right both have their good perks. I personally myself would rather do the free method as I know that results then are solid and will be long term compared to say paid traffic.
