If you have Java installed, this should work on your machine:

I tried it today, works pretty well, but I couldn't find a screen text feature or anything like that. Good for basic free screencasts, and I like it better than Jing. Hope this helps someone.

Yea nice share, thanks. I also use the firefox plugin that allows you to record easily too.

Quick note: You can add in subtitles. That makes the most useful free screencast program I've ever used. Looks like this feature is accessible once the video has been created, and you're about to play it back.
