SerpRobot is nice and cheap for a simple rank tracker, it's only $5 for 300 keywords. I like how you can add or remove robots (each robot gives you 300 keywords) as needed.

Quetext is a good alternative plagiarism checker, although the site seems to have been down for a few days.

Some other tools I've not heard of, I'll check them out.

Sometimes it shows wrong serp data like if my rank is #30 it shows #34 better we use whatsmyserp its accurate for me.
 
Great thread that is recommended for any beginner. I myself, made use of many suggestions here when I first started off.
