SENuke is highly recommended by a lot of people on here (but expensive!)...or at least it was until the recent Google Panda and Penguin updates that penalise unnatural link building practices...

If you're still keen to do this I would test it out on a site you don't care about and become comfortable with what you can/can't get away with before implementing them on a site that you have long-term ambitions for - perhaps use people on Fiverr to do blasts for you rather than investing in these programmes without really knowing the implications...

The more I read about Panda / Penguin (and from personal experience), the more clear it seems that these tools will do you more harm than good for you...I'm sure some will claim that these tools are still usable if you know what you're doing, but the way Google is going it seems to only be a matter of time before such black hat techniques are useless...

Tools can not do any harm. It's a matter of how you use these tools.

Totally agree. That's why I recommend getting to know them and their effects before investing in (and using) them. If you do use them, make sure you diversify the anchor text because this seems like a common reason for penalisation over the last few weeks.

Unfortunately I don't think that there are any decent free Link Building tools. There are only paid tools. The reason for this is that those tools need to stay updated to changes and keeping the tool up to date costs money and time. That is why all backlink buidling tools are paid. If there are any free ones they would only work for a short time and then they would need an update.

Basically if you don't have money to buy a tool now, I suggest that you start doing manual link building and familiarize your self with everything regarding keywords and urls. There are no free link building tools that are any good.

I agree, until G's algorithm stops relying on Backlinks for Ranking, Automated backlinking tools will never be useless.

ld highly recommend you SenukeX - I use it myself. Of course it is not cheap but fistly it's worth it, secondly there are always ways pout. And second great linkbuilding tool is Scrpebox - it's rather cheap and certainly well worth buying.

If you are looking for a free tool = you are short of budget.

Read BHW for a few weeks and when you are confident enough as why you need these tools, you can borrow some money from your friends or family and invest it to get some paid softwares and then earn a better ROI of your sites.

Btw, BST VPS offers you pre installed VPS with useful tools for cheap rate.
    Just my 2 cents. :marchmell

    Why not do this:

    - build several (ie 5) web 2.0s all on the same site (ie all at weebly) using different log ins
    - use same topic and write 400 word article on each, with one photo and one video (make these unique non-spun, and keep keyword text percentages the same)
    - try several fiverr services to judge different software packages (ie xrumer blast, senuke x blast, scrapebox blast, social media stuff like Twitter/G+)
    - target the same, obscure, keywords with each blast (or the same mix of keywords) to see which rank and which don't

Anyone here would probably be very interested in the results.

Good idea !! is there any possibilities of getting a "FOOTPRINT" ??
More over i felt like there is no point in having a web 2.0 property with 1 post :( and huge backlinks ..

I'm no real expert in this (I've just read a lot on here and have 'dabbled' in the black arts:cool:) but I don't think pushing the tier 2 and tier 3 links will have a direct effect on your main site. But I think the way that you link the tier 1 URLs to your main site, regardless of how much you blast the tier 2 and tier 3 links, can have a big impact now. Following G's recent updates it seems that you should avoid sitewide links and diversify your anchor text. At the moment I'm reading a great thread started by a user (Winchester) that explains how to avoid penalisation that maybe you could apply when planning your link building strategy.

Btw, apologies for not recommending any free tools but would I agree with Brain Pain's comment above regarding free link building tools...

You could then add to them over time and use them to link to many of your sites. Just make sure to link to other places too. I think maybe there'd be a footprint if you did them all at the same time, but otherwise just use different usernames and passwords, and make them look different to each other.
