So I know about google keyword tool but the problem is - can't Check if the EMD is available plus I can't see competition.

Is there any free way of doing this? I had market samurai trial but at the time I didn't know really what to do with it - now id like to think I know a lot more.

Ive unlimited domains on my hosting acc so want to make full use of it(only have 2 atm) but I just can't find a micro niche keyword :(

    Thanks

To find out if an EMD is available you can just paste up to 500 keywords from the Google keyword tool into this free tool.

As far as competition, I have SEOQuake installed in my browser. I google a keyword and am able to see the backlinks of the page that is ranking, the backlinks that the site has and how old the site is. I can also see what listings on the first page have the keyword in the title and in the url. That is basically my keyword research as far as determining competition goes.

    Thanks for that.

I'm tempted to buy a keyword from someone on here or even fiverr but usually the KW I get is bad (guess I'm just unlucky). So don't want to waste money on a keyword that I won't use

Cdman, did you PM GrizzlyAdams for a keyword? That seems like a pretty sweet offer.

To be frank, it sounds like you are being way to picky about your keyword selection. Sure, keyword selection is one of the keys to success but the best way to understand keyword research is to try ranking a bunch of keywords. Then you'll be able to see what types of keywords are profitable and what types of keywords will be easy to rank. Spending days looking for keywords and rejecting everything you come across seems like a true waste of time and a great way to set yourself up for failure.

    Bought an EMD.

Now all I need is a good and free wordpress theme that's good for adsense (will be using articles only on the site)
