say i want my landing pages to only be visible to US viewers, and to put up a "site not available in your area" code for all other users. is there a free option out there to do this?

Yea, search 'ip_files' on google, a free PHP version, if you have knowledge of PHP it shouldnt be hard to modify to your needs

i think i have a free little php script somewhere on my pc.
but it´s not the kind of geo targetting with ip, but it targets by the browser language of the user.
it´s sometimes better to do it this way.
if you like i can look for it.
    greets, darkstar69

If you know php you can get a nice class from phpclasses.org or if you want to do something yourself take a look at http://api.hostip.info/

    seo is not of concern.

i know i saw a paid geotargetting script with a "lite" version a couple months back, but i can't remember what it was called for the life of me now.

Ask your host to install a GeoIp_mod and then all you have to do is write an .htaccess file.

    More info here, http://www.maxmind.com/app/mod_geoip

I used to use this for geo-targetting cpa landing pages.
