Wow thats pretty good. I wonder how they can afford to do this or they must have very very strict rules and very slow servers.

All oversold. i wouldnt use this account for anything you are too serious about.

I agree otisdog, you might not want to use it for serious stuff,
but you could host links to everything else you've got!
You folks know how I love RSS feeds, and this gives me
a brand new place to put those puppies up!

Bless you, InternetNinja!

thank you for the useful information :thumb:

so what's the catch?

Just so you all know, I did find a slight catch. It's not a huge deal but your domain name has to be registered for at least 30 days prior to using this as a hosting site. I can only guess they don't want people setting up hundreds of sites all at once.

I would imagine they also have upgraded packages or services you could pay for but it seems to have everything one would need to do most anything. Seems pretty comparable to hostgator, etc.

I guess they started doing this in Sept. 2006. Here's an article about them

http://www.tophosts.com/articles/003845.html?from=rss

Another article said it was limited to the first 3000 people and for 12 months of hosting.
Seems like they would hit 3000 by now. Didn't find anything negative about them. Thanks for the heads up.

Hmm Wish I had known about them 2 years ago. Now I got my own hosting which I paid for. I don't do but blackhat yet but if I start to this could be great. From someone who used to be in the Hosting business and had over 100 customers I have to say that this deal seems impossible logistically. I mean just 1TB Bandwidth would set you back a good amount if you are giving it away for free and if hundreds do it then it could amount to thousands of costs per month. Maybe they have a secret we don't know about =)

I found yesterday a similar one but they offer a little less..
