Here's a freebie/sample right of the bat written in around 15 minutes plus 2 minutes editing: "Pride's Symbol" The roar of the arena hasn't been that loud lately for Mister Manny Pacquiao. In the Philippines and all over the world he has been considered the Best Fighter, but lately his presence in the Internet and in Television seems to get less and less. But for many Filipinos, The PacMan will always be considered as one of the Philippine's symbols of hope and triumph. Manny is a native of General Santos City, one of the more impoverished provinces of the Philippines. Many Filipinos have seen his rise from being a simple boxer on the sidelines to being one of the most reknowned fighters in the history of boxing. To many Pinoys he is what the ideal Filipino should be: humble, loving to his family, and Godfearing; not to mention richer than Donald Trump. Every time that the "Pacman" has fought in any arena, the streets are quiet and the crimerate goes down. This is because almost every Filipino household is holding bated breath in front of the television. Every time Manny comes home he is greeted with thousands of followers with a parade on the streets of Manila. Pacquiao is a symbol for every Filipino who has ever endured poverty. The shanty dwellers see him as a beacon of hope that one day, if they worked as hard as Manny has, they'll be able to rise from eating only two meals a day and living in a house with only a sheet of steel as a roof and only a tire to hold it down. The blue collar workers see him as an inspiration that their work will one day bring good fruits for them and their families. That like Manny, they will be able to provide "overflowingly" for their loved ones. To every Filipino he is Pride. Pride that even though the Philippines is a country besought with problems, an ordinary man can still rise to the top and overcome the cards that life has dealt him.
