    Hi

I have a choice to either mask / foward a domain if I build a lot of backlinks which one has a better chance to get indexed / show up in SERPS ? From what I've read here seems like masking is this right?
    Thanks

Are you saying your options are:

    1. Simply redirecting site1.com to site2.com

    2. Redirect site1.com to site2.com but masking so that the user still appears to be on site1?

    ?

Are you doing it to avoid heat while spamming site1 or because you are afraid site2 will get banned?

If you're going to do it for SERP's then masking the domain may lead to to duplicate content which none of the SE likes much. Forwarding it directly will definitely get your site 1 lose the SERPs

I am not sure I am getting you hundred percent but:

    1. if you simply forward, 301/302/metarefresh, domain1 which is the spammed domain = domain2 will show up in the serps anyway

    2. If you cloak, be sure you have a good IP db, site1 it will show up in the serps.
