    Quick question for you guys

I have launched a new product on an art forum. The thread has been optimized for a certain keyword that I want it to rank for, however, as some other people on that forum are also targeting that kw, the google shows related posts in the serps in the form of sitelinks (the related posts kind of sitelinks).

My thread is currently number 3 in the site links, with my main competitor showing in the main spot.

My question is, does normal backlinking apply to these types of listings?

Or is there no way to influence sitelinks ?

    Thanks in advance guys

They do apply. So feel free to build links to the URL of your thread. Age applies as well, sometimes interaction within the thread too.

send social signals, create some fake id's on forum and post comments on your thread, so everytime the google bot comes on it for crawling finds new content, it would also help if you can send some fake traffic to increase views on your thread. I am sure this will work as i have already applied it :)
