Hey, i have not relay contributed much but i thought id share a little SERP boosting method I use.

When checking the SERP's for my keyword's, 9 times out of 10 there are forum posts listed as high ranking SERP pages.

Basically what I do is I create some forum accounts on those forums, making them look as legit as possible (no rushed jobs here).

Important: I do not include any links back to my money site at this stage (anywhere on my profile)

Post a few reply's in peoples posts and even start a couple threads.

Then i target the post i want my link on, because these threads are quite old some times and you could be classed as grave digging i reply to other peoples posts with in the thread, simply "updating" the post with more relevant information.

Once I get one to stick (a couple times I have had to use several accounts to get a reply to stick) I then leave that thread to disappear on to the next page (sometimes this is quick in busy forums)

Now this is when I update my profile and include a signature, because of the way forums work, all of your posts are updated, giving me the link on the post i want it.

I only do this now to stop from being banned, as 99% of the time if you jump straight in with a back links your post is removed and your banned.

    Hope this helps.

This is definitely worth the time. Those are premium links.

    Great outline, thanks.

It is a good method and it does make sense - however, one thing you need to make sure specifically with new vBulletin Forums, is that when you post, you select the "Show Signature" field; if you haven't got a signature, then this field will be unselected as default, meaning when you add a signature, it won't show up on all your previous posts (unless you select the option)...

Is there an easy way to find a forum that allows html in signatures? I know a lot lately have either turned them off, or don't allow html.

Great method, the only thing is that some forums do not update your signature for the posts you have made before changing the signature.

In that case this strategy will not work.

Name one. I've NEVER seen a forum that does that. Maybe a text based BB, but not real forums.

Either way, these are still forum links which Google slapped in December 2010 and again with Panda. Basically useless now.

From my experience more than half of real forums do that.

    Example: http://forums.clubrsx.com/
    vBulletin 3.7.3

Ya I think those are same as profile links and I don't think they will pass much juice as of couple of years ago.
Now a days even 500 indexed profile links also don't give you much boost in your serp as they use to give back an year ago.

One simple fix, simply go back and edit your post and add in a link. Simple. (editing a post will not bring the post back up to the top)
