So I decided to try to hand at forum marketing, you know, putting your website in the signature and provide quality content with your posts and whatnot.

I found a specific forum in the niche that my website is in (Keep in mind, I didn't not even have my website in my signature), and I'm not saying I'm a genius in my niche, but I know enough to talk about it, but the members of the forum were kind of stupid, the kind of people I want to convert into traffic. I would post non-spammy posts, actually answering questions that were very easy to answer, but the moderator was deleting EVERYTHING I posted. I read the TOS and rules of the forum, but it was like the moderator had a vendetta against me.

Have any of you experienced something similar?? \

Was the site you were promoting in your signature a direct competitor to the forum you were posting on? If so, then I'd certainly understand why the Moderator deleted your posts.

I didn't even have a signature. I'm not even shitting you, the forum in question would be extremely easy to generate traffic from because of how low quality the content was.

I felt like Richard Dawkins on a short bus.

Perhaps the forum owner has a corner on their own market there, and likes to control the traffic flow all the way around, or recognized your IP somehow. If you posted there previously as another user, you likely did not use good safety protocols when signing up for your new account.

I think the forum has your IP blacklisted.

Have you post on too old post??Sometimes mod removes the post as it looks like spammy, better to post on latest threads.Start with some posts so that you will get good number of likes and thanks so that after good amount of posts, you will put the signature.
    In start,do not put signature.
    Good Luck!!!
Forum is the great way to collect traffic. :)
