I am curious to hear your experience.

I have tried a couple times, i believe all the way back to early 2009, and 200 links 4 months ago. I do not see jack effect!

I see still people selling service for forum profile links. Do the links really work for you? if so, how long did it take for you to see the effects?

    thanks for sharing your experience.

200 links? :) 200 links are useless for sure, you need more to gain result.

so how long is it going to take for me to see anything?
What did you gain? PR? or traffic? PR takes a while. Do you get traffic quickly?

I'm curious about this as well. I have ordered packages of 400 links with ZERO movement in the SERPS. I'm thinking they are still usefull, BUT...

    1. They need to be done in larger amounts
    2. You need to ping every link and use RSS to get them indexed (also scrapebox can be used)
    3. They no longer hold the same value that they used to

    Just my 2 cents = )

I thought I read somewhere that pinging your backlinks is useless?

If its a profile that will never be used, it will be a PR0 link.
Thats why i get annoyed when i see these people trying to sell "PR6 profile backlinks", when in reality its the root domain thats PR6, but the actual profile link will be PR0.

I'd personally rather have a PR6 Blog link, than a PR0 profile link, but who knows how google handles it all, but i would think a PR6 link would be better than a PR0 profile link.

Its still useful, not because I am providing this service. Further you need some mix up of links other than forum profile links.

honestly depends what type of site you have

if it's a business site then you need to be more selective on the links you build

but if its a marketing site and your trying to make money - then jamming a bunch of forum profiles can really bring short term benefits - now long term you will suffer if thats the only link building you do - but who cares when your onto the next niche.

I agree that you will need a lot more than 200, try 200 per day for a week. You will also need to get them indexed. I still ping, bookmark, and rss all forum links to get indexed. Also understand that is you have 200 pr 0 links probably count less than 1 pr2 ****************, just what I have read. I'm no expert.

I'm starting to build backlinks to my profile links with SB. I haven't been doing it long enough yet to tell if it's making any difference, but I'm experimenting with it on one of my sites.

That PR6 blog link is probably on a spammy page with tons of other links. G devalues links in what it considers bad neighborhoods. A profile link is on a page by itself.

But that said I'd still take a PR6 blog link over PR0 profile link, but of course it's more work to get them.

When building your profile backlinks, please consider these factors:

    - high PR domain: You gain the value of its domain. Your backlinks also get indexed faster.
    - Pinging your profiles: Short-term effect.
    - Create RSS feed of all profile urls then submit to RSS service: long-term effect.

Obviously you need many of these backlinks as well as other kinds of backlinks if you wanna a good ranking.

I never see much of a movement unless I have at least 2000 links blasted... Profile links DEFINITELY WORK -- it's been proven time and time again. The higher PR of the root domain of the site, the better. I don't rely on just profile links however, they -- along with the traditional XRumer blast to forums are just really easy to do fast and in large quantities.

But oh yeah... They do work.

If ANYTHING, I'm seeing much less improvement from Blog comment links than I used to...

For once and for all - FORUM PROFILE LINKS MAKE NO DIFFERENCE.

    Does anyone actually understand this?

I will say it again for those who struggle.

Forum Profile Links Make No Difference.

Ok - what do I mean by this?

Google does not give a shit about links in forum profiles - it does not give a toot about them. It passes ZERO link juice, and ZERO anchor text juice.

Ok - for those who still struggle here with this, let me explain what ZERO might mean.

ZERO MEANS NOTHING - NADA - ZILCH - NAFF ALL - PISS ALL.

Before you were born - you saw nothing - ZERO - you couldnt even see black - you were not wondering anything like 'where am i?" there was ZERO FOR YOU - NOTHING.
There were ZERO memories - ZERO thoughts - ZERO sensations. ZERO = NOTHING.

This is about as much as google gives you when you place a forum profile link to your site. ZERO. No light - no dark - ZERO.

A million ZEROS = ZERO - More links dont help of this type. NOTHING X NOTHING IS NOTHING. ZERO.

Now then - I stand open to be corrected.

If ONE PERSON here can show me a serp of more that 2000000 results with a number 1 spot of a site which has no inbound links other than forum profiles - I will do the following :-

    1. Say Sorry I was wrong.
    2. Load up SE Nuke and start doing the same.

Until then - ZERO MEANS ZERO.

    :)

There is a huge difference between saying that profile links Do NOT HELP AT ALL and BEING ABLE TO RANK A 2000000 COMPETITION SITE WITH NOTHING BUT PROFILES LINKS.

Profile links do help and I have ranked lots of low to moderate competition sits using them as the only or main source of back links (95+%). Now I have found them to be less useful in the higher competition niches but even then they DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

One thing to keep in mind is that not all profile links are created equal. The PR of the main page does make a difference in how well they are indexed naturally and how much weight Google gives them. Profiles on those N/A sites are not going to have the effect that ones on a PR 5 or PR 8 site is going to have.

Should you rely on profile links exclusively? NO! Can they help? YES!

This is very easy to test for yourself. Pick a site that you have a keyword that is not ranking. Spend a month or so building nothing but profile links for that particular keyword. Do no other link building for that keyword and see what happens. If there is no movement then the profile links had no effect. If your ranking moves at all then they did.

Test things for yourself and you will know for sure what works and what does not!!!!

One of my Anime websites ranked 50+ pages back in Google. I'd made about 200 or so Backlinks from Forums with PR7+ and Do--follow, and after about a month, give or take a couple weeks, my site was at around 7th position on the first page. So I went and made another 100, and low and behold, 2nd ranking. This is for a 4,000,000+ keyword. I've also used Profile Backlinks PR6+ to gain #1-4 spots on upto 11,600,000 keywords.

When it comes down to it, though, people will either use them, or they won't. Same goes for the fact that people will continue to say they don't work, and people will say they do. Personally, due to the fact that I have several websites ranking in top 3 positions, with thousands of Profile Backlinks, I'd say it works. And it works well.
