    So I have a web site where soon I want to accept registrations and payments. I purchased an SSL certificate for the site and I decided to force all visitors to use HTTPS when they visit my site. I have added this 301 redirect code to my .htaccess file:

    Code:
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on
    RewriteRule ^ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]
    Does this have any effect on SEO?

    no, as long as all urls are 301 redirecting.
