Someone recently told me a way to fix my credit report for free, so I tried it and it actually worked!! So I want to tell everyone here how to do it. Ok, Im sure you all know about the law that requires citizens access to their credit report for free which you can access at www.annualcreditreport.com Anyways what you do is go to that site and view your 3 credit reports. Beside all of the bad credit issues, there is a dispute button. All you do is dispute every single issue, and in most cases they will be deleted after a couple of weeks, and your score will improve. With mine there were a few stubborn ones that would not let go of the past, but all in all my credit score ended up about 200 points better.

But there is more! If you intend on getting some kind of loan, creditors will not only look at your overall score, but also your recent credit. Heres something I learned long ago that helps in that situation. Go to a bank, and deposit $1000 into a cd account and pull a loan against it. Wait 1 week and take the money that you borrowed, plus between $60 and $70 interest and pay it back. Then repeat this 2 or 3 more times, and within about a month you will have excelent recent credit, ontop of an almost vannished past credit. With all of this together you should be eligable for just about any type of credit.

    Hope this helps someone :D

You are right, but no I am not affiliated with them, I put that website because it is the only site that is approved by the us government. All of the other sites either charge you or make you take somekind of survey, this one dont. All you do is create an account and check your credit score for free, no catch. You can google them if you like, they are the only site that does not charge you in any way. And please as soon as someone trys it, please let everyone else know so they will know I am being honest, if I stood anything to gain, I wouldnt lie, Im just trying to help a few people.
