Okay i've spent the last 30 minutes trying to make a very simple custom bitly url and i can't do it to save my ass.

Maybe i've been up too long and my brain is officially fried. But could someone please, in the name of all that's good and holy tell me how the hell to make a custom bitly url.

And yes i have googled it lmao. Truly a sad day that i actually have to post how to make a url.

You've got to be kidding me. type in bit.ly to the address bar then there will be a giant box. Type your URL into the box and it will spit out a bit.ly url...

I'm curious, which part were you getting stuck on? lmao

    5 seconds of work = http://bit.ly/GH4Cn (Google)

    lol I know that.

But don't they offer custom urls? Like bit.ly/anynamehere vs the random created bit.ly/fs3fjh

This was driving me crazy too, and some googling brought me to this thread.

In fact, you just go ahead and shorten the URL the normal way, and when you are presented with the "hash" version, you will also get a "Custom Name" option to replace the hash version.

A bit invisible until you actually try it (which can be frustrating if you're looking for the option BEFORE shortening the link, as I was ... and as tinyurl does it).

    Hope that helps.
