I'm trying to think of reasons for why Facebook just locked my account and I'm struggling to come up with any ideas as why this happened. I want to find out why this happened to I can prevent it from happening again in the future. The account was being used for ads and I haven't gotten any emails regarding the temporary lock, it just came out of the blue.

The same thing happened to me a few days ago. In my country the ISPs don't offer static IPs (unless you ask for one) so after a disconnect my account was blocked. I've contacted Facebook and I've been waiting for 3 days for the respond.

That would seem to be the reason. My router - which has a dynamic IP - did reset around the time FB disabled the account. That would be a REALLY stupid reason to block an account if it's true though. Sometimes my router will just reset by itself so I can see this being a pain in the ass if I have to get a new account every time it happens.

What about payment method? Are you gonna be using a new CC?

Also, was it a brand new account or just relatively new?

It's probly either an IP change issue, or you logged in through a different device, or someone tried to hack your acct.
