From a noob, to a noob: 1. It's good to expect every single thing you do to fail in the beginning, again and again. This is because you don't know enough yet, but that will come with time and experience. When I started, I blew $1,000 over 6 months on learning, researching and testing both old and new methods. I made $5.00 during this period. 2. Expect ANY profitable long-term business to take way longer than you think it will to generate a decent amount of profit. 3. Expect to get banned, ghosted, deindexed, PVA'ed, ID'ed, DCMA'ed, and limited in any way you can imagine, and expect to have to think up a solution past any of those road-blocks. Prepare for this by reading up on and understanding why these things are happening. 4. Expect to have to take a significant amount of time to optimize the things you're doing once you get rolling. Expect to have to keep on doing this as times, interests, and things related directly to your method change. Continue looking for optimizations. 5. Expect every venture you start to be WAY more complex than it initially seems to do optimally. (This is why you don't want to start 20 projects, even though it might seem realistic early on). 6. Expect most money making methods you find on here to either be outdated, or not work as well as you think they will work if you follow the steps exactly. You need to put a twist on these and/or figure out what part isn't working anymore and how to overcome that. -This is not a dig at the quality of content on BlackHatWorld because it is amazing. It is a realistic view on saturation and meta-change over time, as well as the cat-and-mouse games that envelope many IM techniques. 7. Expect, at any given time, to have your biggest money making method drop off the face of the earth and stop working. This is why you don't put all your eggs in one basket, and you constantly need to be researching and taking advantage of new methods 8. Expect that making money online is not easy. It will be harder than you think, and it is not easy money. 9. Don't expect to be able to make the same amount of money that people who write money making tutorials on BlackHatWorld do. These people know their method inside and out, their exact procedure may be outdated, and the method may be more saturated or less effective (e.g. Adrian 112's method: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/reupload-70-per-day-porn-uploading-system.759276/) 10. Expect to need to learn the technical side of the things you're doing. A background in computers or networking helps. It's always good to make sure you understand the technical side of what you're doing along with the marketing and logistical side. 11. Always assume that knowledge that isn't related to your methbod will still be useful in the long run. Even learning about methods and points completely unrelated to your specific method will help you. This will help you because all of it still involves marketing on some way, and all of them try to accomplish the same thing in different ways or through different means. 12. Expect that doing what tutorials and methods do step-by-step will not work in the long run. I know that seems counterintuitive because they've been laid out as step-by-step guides, but when everybody does an exact set of steps those steps start becoming harder to make money with, because everybody has to compete with one another. It's good to always be thinking for each and every step of a method "how could I do this differently?". 13. Expect your main ideas for IM to come from you and you only. Getting ideas from others isn't a bad thing, but if you're not able to constantly think of and produce new tips, tricks, and optimizations for the thing you're doing, you're going to get left behind. A person can show you an exact way to make money right now, but methods keep changing over the months and years that go by, and you need to be able to research and take advantage of other methods when your methods stop working. If you're spoonfed it might help for a short while, but you're not going to be able to think up and apply twists to future methods and that will ultimately leave you high and dry. 14. Expect to fail constantly if you don't know at each and EVERY point in your method exactly what's going on, exactly how it works, how it can be applied to other areas of internet marketing, and exactly what to do if it changes, becomes obsolete, or becomes harder to manage or achieve.
