First of all my respect to all senior BHW members as the day I started visiting this forums I never gone back to any other Internet Marketing Forum.

I work with tiered link building as everyone one do on BHW these days post penguin. I heard a lots experts says that always have PR1+ sites on Tier1 and have any PR site at Tier2 or lower. I can see that lots of seller in BHW are having good results with having TIER 1 made up with PR1+ sites. I am not going to launch a service however my question is

Is this always a must to think of PR1+ site only at tier1 - Asking since i am in very competitive niche and i need to have lots and lots of tier1 link
    created by the time.... ?

Asking since most of the SEO software except Magic Submitter donot shows PR of the domain name or either they donot have lots of PR1+ sites for e.g. everyone is FAN of SENUKEX that software nodobut having great success but if i USE that for Tier1 that donot have a lots of PR1+ Sites in it.

So my question is to everyone who work with Tiered link building that do you still see good with having any site in Tier 1 or PR1+ is a must?

Please.... Please... share your experience and views on it, perhaps it can help not only me but also other users too who work with Tiered link building...

You can have any PR as the tier 1's. I wouldn't go with 0 or N/A. Anywhere from PR 1-9 is fine for a first tier. I've been ranking for very competitive terms and I've never only had tier 1 backlinks being ONLY pr 1.

In this era where we have advanced drip feed softwares I have seen that most successful black hat world service providers also usages softwares on tier1 too and it is not bad idea since using software is not risky as this is risky if you dont know how to use software properly. My respect to your opinion bro! but i dont think any issue is there using software for even tier 1 as far as you use it properly.

Thanks for your view, with your experience for ranking of very competitive terms do you think relaying only on Tiered link building is only thing you did or you think that they must be mixed with other high PR homepage backlinks too is a must to get higher rank in high competitive terms?

I'm also wondering about how people build their tier 1 these days. Subscribed, hope to get some answers from experienced members.

You can have any PR on tier 1, but the OBL is matter. For Ex: All the newly created web2.0's are PR 0, but those doesn't have any obl other than yours is also much effective. All you need to do is creating the proper tier 2 links.

The trick from this point on (after penguin2) is to maintain the tier 1's as your own websites! Maintain = update regularly, put regular content on em, get social likes/shares on them, make them appear as legit websites, not one page wonders. Too much work, yes, but this will last much much longer than other "loopholes" as we are prototyping the web itself! (The web = a multi billion tier)

Yes, or even using some high quality tactics to get links from quality sources and then using a batch of these links as your tier 1's. Then from there building out your tier 2 and tier 3's.

It'll be a little harder to get links from newspapers if you have a burn and churn site, but if you've developed and authority website and are trying to rank, having your tier 1 as actual high quality links pointing to your site can be great for your tiered link building and they also pass the sniff test if a manual reviewer looks at them.
