Alright! I'm done with the crappy competition analyzation tools, that cut off midway if your proxies aren't good enough, give corrupt results, or just plainly results that are way off. I want to make THE ULTIMATE competition analyzation tool.

So Step 1, What information can I fetch for supplying my ultimate analysis formula?

    Here are my points:

    1. inurl:"keyword" serps count
    2. indomain:"keyword" serps count
    3. indomain:"keyword"+inurl:"keyword" serps count
    4. "keyword" serps count
    5. keyword serps count
    6..... never mind 6
    7. For each of the top x results for the keyword:
    ..7.1 On page SEO Score
    ....- Keyword in title tag?
....- Keyword spread score with 3% spread as optimal
    ....- Is keyword in H1
    ....- Is keyword in H2
    ....- Is keyword in H3
    ....- Website innerlinking structure score
..7.2 Yahoo backlinks count for Page
..7.3 Yahoo backlinks count for Site
    ..7.4 Google Pagerank for Page
    ..7.5 Google Pagerank for Site
    ..7.6 is Edu/Gov
    ..7.7 Domain age (added)
If I find cooperative people on this, then we can make this an extremely valuable tool together. And it will be out for free.

What do I want from you right now? Tell me if some data is irrelevant, other data I could fetch that is relevant.

Looks good to me, except that Yahoo backlinks doesn't work anymore. The age of the site might be good and the alexa rank. Also if your proxies aren't working in the available tools I'm not sure they will work in a tool with this much scraping. I'm quite curious what #6 was. ;)

Something that looks at the PR values of the backlinks and the anchors to the page

If you could add a little button that I could push once, would build my pages and backlinks and would guarantee me position one, that would be nice too. If that's not possible this will do. :D

All jesting aside, this looks good, everything seems well covered.

And I'd much rather have a piece of software to run this through first before my brain. I'll use my brain once the results are in front of me. Work smarter, no harder.

Does anyone have any idea on fetching PR data on backlinks in an efficient manner? I could make this a deep analysis feature, because I assume it takes a lot of time.

Alexa ranking, Dmoz listed, Yahoo dir listed, Google dir listed, Site age.

If one can determine types of backlink and display the percentage proportion would be way nice, for example - 10% social bookmark, 30% blog comment, 10% article etc. But I might be too far off though.

Ok the backlink analysis sounds pretty damn effortful, if it's possible at all. Maybe this might be something for the far future if I create a paid version of the product that sells well. But the listeds should be doable.
