    Hi Guys,

Since Google is going to *LOL* try to takedown *LOL* blackhat services.

I figured I would post some stuff that you might want to check before ranking a domain.

    Is this bulletproof?
    LOL
    Hell no....

But that doesn't mean you have to make it THAT easy...
Last time I checked someone used Gmail for their Blackhat Services.
    I mean common people....

Methods to check if a domain is owned by Google:

    First, check this list:

    http://royal.pingdom.com/royalfiles/0804_google_domains.xls

    Phonenumber Method:

Whois a few domains owned by google, most likely, you'll see phone numbers like this:

    630*******

    Then:

    630******* site:whois.domaintools.com
    650******* site:whois.domaintools.com

    Etc. (There's many more)

(You can scrape these phone numbers)
Personally, I wouldn't rank anything starting with 630 and 650.

    City Method:

    "Amphitheatre Parkway" site:whois.domaintools.com
    "Mountain View" site:whois.domaintools.com

Yes, you might lose customers from Mountain View, but who cares?

    Nameserver Method:

    ns1.google.com site:whois.domaintools.com
    ns2.google.com site:whois.domaintools.com
    ns3.google.com site:whois.domaintools.com
    ns4.google.com site:whois.domaintools.com

    Email Method:

    DNS-Adm**@google.com site:whois.domaintools.com

I'm sure you'll figure out the last 2 letters.

    Be creative....

You'd be surprised by some of the crap they own:

    SARAHMAZALOUSKAS.com
    CEBRAFLATINA.com
    EASTCOASTMAGIC.com
    GDISUX.com
    MOBILEFRETES.com
    NAPPYMONITOR.com
    OPINIONADDICT.com
    IPONTAP.com
    KANGSYSTEM.com

You think they'd be silly enough to use this crap for collecting data? I mean... private whois is ranges from free to about $10.

That's true but you never know, looking at some of the domains they registered with these footprints, one can't help but think.
I specifically said it's not bulletproof.
    I'm just trying to help.
If anything, maybe it will spark a conversation on how to be more careful.

While it's not fool proof, this is a good little precautionary step that can be taken that I'm sure many haven't thought about. :)
