    Hi BHW'ers

Here I am after a long time sharing something really helpful.

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/39637-massguru.html on chat shared with me a little footprint to find .edu/.gov forum profiles.

Now this is something great to find forum profiles with 0 posts (usually the ones created to spam with sig links).

But as I checked a few profiles, I found none of them actually had signatures enabled. So, apparently, the particular footprint wasn't as useful!

I modified it a little, to come up with a new footprint that would list only those profiles, which have 0 posts (usually spam profiles) and have signatures enabled.

    563,000 results

    47,700 results

The total being a staggering 610,700 potential .EDU/.GOV links!!!

Load these up in SB, scrape all, and even if you get just a 1% success rate, you will get 6000+ authority EDU/Gov backlinks!

    How cool is that. ;)

Props to massguru for the original footprint!

Yup. Alternatively, you can contribute in the forum by making a couple of quality posts so your account cannot be marked as spam.

Thanks for providing the footprint. But I do understand how to use it with scrapebox.

Are you saying to scrape the forums and then manually create accounts and post links?

    Thanks in advance.

Posting your link here will end up yourself being banned or your outbound link would be deleted. I don't see any outbound links on the shared footprint as well as the 32 shared links by The Matrix.

Okay, so maybe you should check your facts before you talk!

Not all links stick, but those that do, will be better than AA blog comments or normal forum profile links.

The links were shared by massguru, not me.

I used the dork and got the following results:

    Code:
    http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/member.php?u=108708
    http://www.statepi.jhsph.edu/macs/MACS_forum/member.php?u=235
    http://forums.edgcm.columbia.edu/member.php?u=4
    http://www.xuyenmoc-brvt.edu.vn/forum/member.php?u=1391
    http://www.sas.edu.pk/vb/member.php?u=24942&langid=1

These are only a handful of the hundreds of thousands of links. All these have links in the signature and have been up from a very long time!

So uhm... What keywords do I use with this footprint? I'm a bit slow right now, haven't had coffee yet.

Any! But then you'll get only a few results probably. Use this dork as is, and you'll find tons of edu/gov forums to register on and leave a link.

Yeah without keywords. And if you put some keyword along with the dork, you'll get very less results but very targeted ones.

    For example:
    Code:
inurl:.edu "Find all posts by""Find all threads started by""Total Posts: 0" "signature" +weight loss
    returns just 698 results.

It's a good footprint but the number of search results is not correct. Actually there are only 52 results Go0gle displays for that footprint. Always check the last page of the search results to know the exact search results count.

    Code:
    https://www.google.com/search?sclient=psy-ab&hl=en&site=&source=hp&q=inurl:.edu+%22Find+all+posts+by%22%22Find+all+threads+started+by%22%22Total+Posts%3A+0%22+%22signature%22&pbx=1&oq=inurl:.edu+%22Find+all+posts+by%22%22Find+all+threads+started+by%22%22Total+Posts%3A+0%22+%22signature%22&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=1671096l1671096l1l1672349l1l1l0l0l0l0l945l945l6-1l1l0&biw=1024&bih=677&cad=cbv&sei=DtQCT_O5A43zrQfvtszjCw#q=inurl%3A.edu+%22Find+all+posts+by%22%22Find+all+threads+started+by%22%22Total+Posts%3A+0%22+%22signature%22&hl=en&prmd=imvnsfd&ei=J9QCT_neBo7krAeIxqzgDw&start=60&sa=N&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.,cf.osb&fp=a1bc1589ec616832&biw=1024&bih=677

    Oh yeah!

In that case, we can use a dictionary as keywords to scrape tons of URLs. The method you shared.
    :D
