Shocking news. I was watching the match myself and was shocked.

    Plenty of videos on Youtube.

Great to hear that he is now breathing again and doctors are looking after him.

My prayers goes towards him, and his family and I hope he gets better soon and back on his feet to what he's best at - football.

Some fucker will probably try and make bank with this.

Glad to hear he is breathing normally. Real bad to see a young and professionally fit man collapse like that.

Was listening to the commentary on radio 5Xtra, really really odd. Made me feel really weird. Glad he's stable, and hope he gets back fully.

It was heartening to see fans from both sides and the players showing their concern.
Makes a change from my ICF days.

Where are you guys getting this news? There's been no update about his condition. I was watching the game live at the time and from what I heard he stopped breathing while he was on the pitch and was still not breathing when he left the field some 10 minutes later.

He received mouth to mouth and electric shock treatment twice on the pitch. Incredibly distressing and I'm still upset by it. The BBC reported at 8 pm that they had not received any news for 1 1/2 hours. I believe this is to contact his family first before any statement.

The players were in total shock and my heart goes out to the family who I am sure were also watching. Very very sad, just 23 years old.

I hope what you guys are saying is true, that he's conscious and breathing but I can't find any updates at all. But I fear the worse

    Hopefully he will pull through.
Lets be optimistic for the guy.
Prayers and thoughts coming in from so many
    players, fans and commentators.

Strange that it takes something like this to unite the game,
and put everything inot a genuine perspective.

God Bless Fabrice Muamba and Good Luck and Get well soon

Good luck to him, fingers crossed this was a one off for him and the docs help him back to health. Football is a funny old game - I lost a very close friend when he was playing a game of footy, physically very fit, went up for a header and by the time he hit the ground he was dead.

Glad that things are looking up for him - and Youtube was full of people trying to make money from this. Football Videos that were 2 weeks old plus were being retitled just to make the front page. Glad to see most have been taken down now, sick people out there.

I was watching the match when it happened. I almost started crying because he's a great player.

The most shocking thing I have ever seen in a football game.

Had my heart in my mouth for a long 2 hours or so before the confirmation that he was breathing again.

Really is a miracle when you consider how long he was supposedly not breathing for and the condition he probably has that would cause what is by all standards a physically fit and young athlete to suddenly collapse in the middle of a football pitch without any contact or indication whatsoever.

All I can do now is thank God and pray for a full recovery.

Yeah this was really shocking for me. Was watching the game in the background and didn't know what was going on and why the game had stopped.

I hope he will be better soon.

Lets hope he gets better soon - you don't expect this from such a young, physically fit young guy. Just hope we hear some good news about him in the morning. Its good the way the footballing world can put differences aside at a time like this.
