Font issue on some software

I seem to be having a font problem with a lot of software lately. It seems that the low end web marketing software is the worst offender. I have a laptop with a 20" wide screen monitor, I am noticing that a lot of the software looks really fucked up, the text is smashed and unreadable like its going out of the boundaries. I have tried adjusting my screen to a non wide screen resolution but this isn't fixing it, is anyone else having these problems? Its preventing me from using some pieces of software because some buttons are off the screen.

I had something similar happening with pdf files. I just clicked Advanced > Use Local Fonts. I don't know how that will help you with everything but if this problem is on Acrobat this should fix the problem.
