Followers?

Okay I have a question, I have followliker, and I have targeted people who always "FollowBack" and I have gotten tons of followers from that, but when I change my query to my niche (hip hop) I dont really get that many followers. I guess my question is, should I continue to use the followback query or should I use the hip hop query? I get more obviously from the followback, but they dont really interact all the time with my tweets.

Followback guys are not really your target niche so I don't see how that could be beneficial to you unless you just want a show of hands. IMO those accounts are useless. Have you tried changing your query to other related KWs in the niche? for e.g. You could use artist names, or trending hashtags.
