I am wondering if the mass follow, wait 2 days to give users a chance to follow you back, then unfollowing the ones that didn't follow you back still the best way to gain targeted followers? I am just getting back into Twitter to promote a new site of mine, all the Twitters auto update twice an hour with content from the website(the website updates twice an hour), and I use the follow/unfollow method to build followers to the accounts, and have been able to get about 200-300 new followers a day, following close the max everyday.

Are there any methods that are better for gaining targeted followers? I also have used twiends, addmefast, and youlikehits,(bots) but those are only really worth using once or twice because I've noticed I get 200 followers or whatever from twiends, then the follows stop coming whether I have points or not.

Please share the way you gain followers, targeted or untargeted

Don't unfollow too many people at once. You may get suspended.

A better option is to buy 20000 follower packages from fiverr. Once you have 20000 fake followers, you can follow 20000 real accounts. Even if one-fourth of those 20000 real people follow you back, you will have 5000 real followers.

Note: even following too many people at once can get your account suspended.

To gather targeted followers, follow the people in your niche - then check who have followed you back.

Now follow the followers of these people who have followed you back.

You will get niche targeted followers.

Also, make related tweets on your keywords and include the trends hashtags where relevant.

    Do this for few days.

Once you get few followers, do the shoutout thing.

Also, in between, keep doing RT to win contests ( provide some incentive - whatever your niche allows )

Also, do not buy too many fake followers ( people these days understand that - do it but under a limit )

All this will bring real targeted followers and then you can sell them what ever you want.

mass unfollowing is too risky if your twitter account is important because you might get suspended in twitter. My account was banned because of mass unfollowing.

All of my accounts are atleast a year old, and I have done the follow/unfollow on the in the past without a problem, and I set the program to have a delay of 5-30 seconds between follows/unfollows.Ive never had an account suspended for following/unfollowing. and all of my accounts have more followers then following so the follow ratio limit thing isn't a problem.

Ive done mass following/unfollowing for a while now, and never gotten suspended, following 500 a day and unfollowing those who dont follow back within 2 days.

500/day, isnt that a bit too much?
I am doing 140-147/day for the past two months, no problems.

But who on earth is able to do 500/day manually? get my drift, it is an easy spot.

What are twitters limits now? Is it still 1000 follows/unfollows a day?

For the record, I second that unfollowing can get you in trouble... I've had it happen to me. I would suggest following with multiple accounts and siphoning followers to a main account over following/unfollowing with only one account.

I know you are using a bot, that is exactly why you will get banned.
Bot needs to be set up to look like natural follow/unfollow.

And no person will follow 500 every day.

    Just a taught.

Im currently using 4 accounts, each account is following a different users followers. Were u sending the max each day? Also were you unfollowing everyone or just unfollowing those who didnt follow you back?

It doesnt follow exactly 500 a day, it follows a random number between 200-500, and takes atleast an hour to do so. theres a 10-30 second gap inbetween follows, not just 500 being followed in 5 minutes

Who says no one would manually follow 500 a day? Ive done it before for weeks on end in the 800 range. Just because you dont, doesnt mean others wouldnt. Its not as uncommon as you might think.

    Home Page:
I've followed 800-900 per day for long periods with no issue (remember twitter does allow some automated following (followback), so I don't think they are too hot on following, it's the churn that they don't like (follow, unfollow).

I normally buy some fake followers to keep my ratio good, then I don't really unfollow too many people.

I would follow 1K people everyday and had no issues.

Unfollows I would not go crazy with, I like the 500/day rule but those have to be spaced out. As someone mentioned, tweetadder is great.
