    Hey Guys,
    Something a little diff,
Started coding and sh_t 1.5 years ago, built up strong e-commerce webiste with world-wide demand. I want to learn more and I think the best way to do it is on someone elses time. In one year should be able to command a decent salary and the demand for these types of services are only going to increase.

I am running my businesses on the side and packing/posting after hours.

3 resumes sent today, waiting for response.

Follow me in my success:) or failure :(

Any tips are more than welcome

work for other people sucks, you probably won't like it if you never worked before.

True but a lot of start-ups began after an employee left and tweaked their previous workplaces systems. Why not learn more on working systems and apply to your own. It's like University for free, but the skills can actually make you money working for yourself.

Actually working for someone else doing seo takes alot of pressure off and sometimes is fun. I had some clients then took an SEO job with a company and I considered them my largest "client" even though they were my employers. The good apart was that I got to collaborate in a team environment, every morning we would have a stand up and discuss any news in the industry or tactics and the people I worked with were great.

That sort of collaboration is hard to emulate just working through SEO forums. Good point.

Got to a 2nd round interview, with a large company, missed out because I had less PPC knowledge than the other guy(agency experience), nuts :(

No matter sent out a lot more resumes and something should stick, I'm noticing a lot more medium size businesses are looking for in-house Internet marketers Seo/sem/social media/HTML emails/CMS. But I would rather start with an agency that gets clients good results and I can learning faster.

All guys in this forum are in an awesome position at the moment. All the skills we are developing are massive demand at the moment, and we are truly ahead of the game, setting the trends. You cannot go to university/college and learn these tactics but most probably in ten years will be text book stuff. The guys that were called hackers yesterday are todays entrepeneurs. Don't believe me? Look at Sean Parker, music industry wanted his balls 15 years ago and took him to court to shut down Napster, now the guy finally gets his vision in spotify, is a venture capitalist and the same guys that took him to court realize just now he was correct all those years ago.

So to all my Blackhat brothers, I'm giving this my best because at the moment the Internet is ripe for guys like us, we're smarter, faster and ahead of the game brahs.

Time to send out more cover letters(which I'm doing in HTML email to stand out and showcase skills ;) )

Sorry for any spelling errors , once I type I never look back

If you share more details about what you were doing and what you gonna do then it will be easier for us to say anything about this.

No details just throwing out resumes in the IM field. Have had offers in the finance field but I'm keeping them as a last resort. IM is the future and I'm gonna bust my nuts to get in. previous history, started e-comm site from 1 year ago (that some members may know about) that has traffic generated from FB. Does couple k/week in sales

Ok guys, sorry for late update but finally come to some resolution.

Applied for 20+ internet marketing roles but could not get through (most places either needed a degree or agency experience)

But I did get a finance role that has nothing to do with IM. I'm happy but still wish I got the seo/sem type role.

I'll just have to work harder on my IM projects in the mean time . I actually made more in IM last year than my starting salary but I have automated my IM as much as possible to allow a dual income and hope to double the IM with new ventures.

    9-5 but dream still alive:)
