So Ive been wanting to start another follow along for BHW, specifically making it beginner friendly, showing how to get a campaign profitable from the ground up.

Quick back story: Ive been an Adult Media Buyer for the last 10 years now, paying for banner advertisements on the big adult tube sites and making a profit as an affiliate, promoting PPL and PPS offers like Adult Dating, Male Enhancement, Webcams and Adult Gaming.

So this journey will be how to scale adult media buying campaigns up to $1,000+ profits per day.

It's not an easy road, and takes a lot of testing, but once you crack it, it is very very lucrative.

There are waves of popularity for adult media buying, its not "hot" right now, as in the community raving about it, but make no mistake.... Adult is one of those "ever green niches" that will always work in some shape or form, the industry evolves for sure (new rules and regulations etc etc) you have to adapt to the market... but overall, there are horny dudes turning 18 every day, looking for pussy online, always has and always will be, no doubt about it.

$1,000's - $10,000's even $100,000 are being spent every day on Adult media buying, there's a shit load of traffic out there, when you expand just beyond the US market and think worldwide.

Anyway, my favorite campaign to run is Dating, and is also the easiest for newbies to get started in. So this follow along with be a Dating campaign.

The Campaign:

I can't reveal the exact targeting and everything I'm doing as I will create direct competition for myself and campaign will most likely become unprofitable and burn out, but I want to reveal as much as possible to help newbies get a leg up in the industry, so here goes.....

The campaign is targeting PornHub.com on the Mobile Header placement, target USA market.

I'm starting with 5 banners, 2 LP's and 2 offers.

This is actually very important, too many newbies test way too much when starting out, 10+ banners, 10+ LPs and like 5 different offers..... I can understand the thinking... "I want to test many different variables at once to find whats working quickly and scale that up"....

The problem with this is, you would need a huge budget for just 1 day in order to get enough significant data to make a proper judgement on which Banner > LP and Offer combination is profitable for you.

What I mean is, with 10 banners, 10 LPs and 5 offers, this is 10 X 10 X 5 = 500 possible combinations, which is WAAAY too much to test properly.

Its much better to test tightly when first starting, with 5 banners, 2 LP's and 2 Offers = just 20 possible combinations to test. (I can go deeper in the break down of this for better understanding in future posts, but for here right now it will get too much to follow)

I'll also be capping the spend at $50 per day for 3 days straight, in order to get an overview of whats working.

This is another important note, when starting a new campaign, you should let it run untouched for at least 3 days straight, to get enough significant data.... some days will just perform shit, one day might be shit, and the next 2 days really great. But if you cut the campaign after day 1 of loosing, you missed out of 2 breakeven or near breakeven days.

To recap....

Placement: PornHub.com Mobile Header USA

Spend Cap: $50/ Day

The campaign has been running for 2 days and into day 3 now, I will post tomorrow the full breakdown of the performance of the campaign, with the full 3 days worth of data... so I can show you how I analyze the data and start tweaking things into profit.

DAY 3 UPDATES

So my campaign has been running for 3 days straight now, lets take a look at the overall banner performance:

banners.png

We can see that banners 1, 2 and 5 are getting much lower clicks than the other 2... their CTR is pretty low, and since I'm paying CPM (an amount per 1000 impressions of the banner) its making the CPC of these banners really high. So first thing to do is cut these banners from the campaign.

Next, let's take a look at the LP and offer performance...

LP.png

offers.png

We can see that there is not much difference in performance between the 2 Offers and 2 LPs...... The UberSex LP has a lower amount of leads, but the CTR of each LP is about the same, that I'm willing to let this continue to split test between the 2 for now.

The biggest difference in performance is seen when we break the data down by OS targeting, lets have a look...

OS.png

As we can see, Android OS is getting an EPV of 0.139 while IOS is getting 0.064, this is a big difference. Enough to have just -7% ROI to Android and - 56% ROI to IOS!

Also, in my traffic network, at Traffic Junky, my Android banner CTR is actually a lot higher than IOS.

So the next steps to take are:

1) Cut banners 1, 2 and 5 and send all the traffic to banners 3 and 4
2) Set up a new campaign that is targeting JUST Android OS

Then we should start to see some profits, especially when we analyze OS > Banner combinations and see which are more profitable, then LP and Offer combinations.

Overall Spend: $159.85
Revenue: $103.20
Profit/Loss: -$56.65
ROI: -35.44%

Overall not bad numbers for the first 3 days of testing. You should always expect a loss when first starting a new campaign, and then we drill into data to find more profits later.

If you have any questions with any of this, please feel free to post them here. ;)

Day 4 Updates:

banner.png

Profits are here!

We can see that cutting the worst banners and only focusing on Android that we are starting to be in the green.

Next couple days I will ramp things up a bit further, and continue to test the 2 banners, 2 LPs and 2 Offer pages to see if a specific combination starts getting higher EPVs.

Overall Spend: $218.75
Revenue: $183.15
Profit/Loss: -$35.60
ROI: -16.27%

Day 5 Updates:

Day 5.png

Overall Spend: $325.35
Revenue: $322.5
Profit/Loss: -$2.85
ROI: -1.00%

Will start to ramp things up more today and drive deeper into stats and tweak some things, to push even higher ROI..... probabaly let it run over weekend and look at all time stats for the last few days and see whats comming out on top. :)

Day 6 Updates:

Day 6.png

Overall Spend: $608.35
Revenue: $690.9
Profit/Loss: $82.55
ROI: 14%

Starting to ramp up today, things still looking great with around 30% ROI....... $85 profit, not bad :D

Will continue at around this level over the weekend, then analyze overall data for Android and see if I can push more ROI and then scale things up to around $500-$1000/ day spend.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask away:)

Day 7 Updates:

Day 7.png

Overall Spend: $922.95
Revenue: $1,164.3
Profit/Loss: $241.35
ROI: 26%

Amazing day today as its the weekend.... decent profits.... but as I scale more, I expect the ROI to decrease... this is just what happens when you scale up.... Will continue over weekend and do a full breakdown of all stats on Monday.

Hello, are you promoting offers only with DirectToForm" pages ? Because I see on CR that many offers have their own pre-sell pages.

Day 8 Updates:

Whats up guys, its been 8 days since starting this journey and for the past 5 days Ive been running just Android OS targeting with my best 2 banners.

Now its time to break the campaign down even further and see which specific Banner > LP and Offer combination is making the highest ROI, since we'll have enough significant data to make these proper tweaking decisions....

So with the new tweaks, we can scale up the campaign even more and still expect a decent ROI (although ROI will drop a little when scaling up, which is normal)

full breakdown.png

As we can see in the above screenshot, Ive looked at the last 7 days time frame (to make sure I'm covering the last 5 days of running)

Next, I've broken down the data by Banner > LP > Offer and then I rearranged the data to display the highest EPV value from top down.

## QUICK SIDE LESSON: Many "gurus" won't tell you about EPV (Earnings Per View) which is better than focusing on EPC and ROI.

When you analyze your campaign data, if you focus on EPC (you will see I don't even have the EPC column activated in my stats) it is only giving you the values based on visitors who are clicking on your LP and onto the offer page.

Some affiliates are looking at their EPCs in their affiliate network and then matching this up with their CPC in the traffic network, which is leading them astray, because its not calculating from the FIRST point of entry, which is the visitor who clicks on your banner ad, and this is what your paying for at the traffic network.

When you focus on EPV, it calculates your Earnings Per View/Visitor of every single person that clicks on your banner ad, THEN you can deduct this value from your CPC in the traffic network and have much more accurate data.

Basically, when you focus on EPV, it allows you know know EXACTLY how much you can pay PER CLICK on your ad network, to make profit. Basically you always make sure your EPV is higher than your CPC and your golden.

This beats focusing on ROI values as well, because you just have a % number and not an exact number value to focus on.

Hope this makes sense.

QUICK SIDE LESSON END ##

So we can see from the stats breakdown, banner 4 is coming out on top over banner 3

Next, the UBER SEX LP is not making the greatest profit.

Then, its a bit of a tie between Adult Dates and 99 Hookups, as some combinations are working well and some are not, the data is a bit random....

So what I'm going to do it, kill banner 3 and UBER SEX LP, so that the only things running now will be:

Banner 4
Mom Sex Chat LP
Both offer split 50/50

And scale this up for a few days and then check the results.

Overall Spend: $1,247.45
Revenue: $1,605
Profit/Loss: $357.55
ROI: 29%

How you decided to promote 99hookups and AdultDates? Are you sending traffic to Direct To Form page ?

How you decided to promote 99hookups and AdultDates? Are you sending traffic to Direct To Form page ?

I chose these offers because they were high network EPC and SOI offers.

I look for offer pages with a join form yes, so I can use my own pre sell LPs.

Day 9 Updates:

Day 9.png

Overall Spend: $1,863.25
Revenue: $2,423.55
Profit/Loss: $560.30
ROI: 30%

Starting to ramp things up a bit more now.... will prob open flood gates in a few days. Wish me luck!

Day 10 Updates:

Day 10.png

Overall Spend: $2,689.75
Revenue: $3,396.75
Profit/Loss: $707.00
ROI: 26%

ROI starting to drop a little, but not to worry. This was expected, still decent daily profits.

Black Hat World should ban users from creating journey threads that obviously are just a funnel to whatever they're selling in their signature / BHW website URL.

We saw this all the time with crypto and crypto scammers. People were faking their crypto/NFT gains just to get people to join their telegram group so they can upsell them a course or rugpull them. Not saying you're scamming people or faking screenshots, but it just seems like a slimy way to get people to sign up for the Adult Media Kings course.

Why create a BST when you can just create a real (or fake journey) thread that leads users to your signature?

The idea that you're luring people into this thread by suggesting it's "beginner friendly" seems straight out of a BST. You're just missing the fancy graphics at this point.

Using my own LPs allows me to get more control. Such as putting double offer pops, popunders and back button scripts on my LP and other advanced tactic stuff.
I understand why you use a prelander but it's not overkill if an user has two times a form with a lot of questions to complete? one in your prelander and one in the offer

Thank for the case studies btw

Don’t agree with you. It helps beginners like me.
