Does anyone have any tips or guides on how to properly optimize flash websites so that search engine won't penalize it?

I may not be a pro at this, but I read a lot of articles instructing the use of multiple html pages and insert the flash, instead of creating one single html page and insert your flash. By this you'll be able to optimize each page for SERPs.

I wonder how google would look at if you called multiple flash files and also the same for your content. I assume it is better than having a big flash file with everything in it. But then again Google might have a different approach to spidering flash sites...
