Im curious, are these sites safe to make? For example, google mario games and the first site is a flash game site. And then following that about 50 more clones competing. Even though this is trademarked, is there something keeping these sites from being shut down or sued?

I wouldn't doubt they are getting crap for making the games.

The only way you can make something like that is if you have something like a franchise or the rights to make them. Getting the rights is almost impossible so I'm guessing they are doing it illegally lol.

Is there any way to track who made the games? I ask because a lot of times people will make the games and then upload them for free.

Another thing to think about is if they are profiting from these games. If they aren't profiting then the Mario and Luigi most likely won't get mad and hit them with a hammer lol :D

Well those sites don't make games they just rip and host them. Literally hundreds of sites doing the same thing. And they indirectly make a profit from adsesnse.
