Hello!

I am quite new to both Instagram and FL. All the guides I have read have recommended checking the "Ignore private users" option, but I just dont understand why?

Is there a higher risk of gettings banned if I don't?

Around 80% of my target group (Cosmetics, women 20-35) are private users, and these are the real users/customers I want to get as followers, not just other business accounts who will follow me but I will never be able to make money from. I have been using FL with this option NOT checked for around 2 weeks now, and I am quite happy with the results. But it I have this worry I am risking getting banned because of following private users or that there is something important I haven't quite understood regarding this issue.

Because, more than likely, they're the kind of users that don't want to be bothered by people they don't know.

I'm not sure this is a general recommendation... I've seen many people actually suggesting not to ignore the private users... I don't ignore them, and often get them followbacks.

It's because when you end up reaching the max of 7,500 following on the account, you have to start unfollowing. And you can't unfollow private users that you requested to follow. Meaning the private users you followed can let your request sit in the queue for eternity, and you'll never be able to unfollow them with the bot to lower your unfollowing count. To avoid that mess you ignore private users right when you start

Ok, this makes sense. But since so many of my potential customers have private accounts and I really need to have them as followers...is there any way to find my queued requests manually?

Not sure, I'd try to target niches that have a mix of public and private users
